I wasn't disappointed when Carroll won. I won't be this week, either. It always amazes me, when all the hype from the Crusher faithful leads to pre-season scheduling of certain games that "they" hope will turn out to be worthy of GOTW status. Then when someone has an opposing view of that, he's labeled hater, or worse. Great Christian ethic there. If I had this weeks schedule to choose from, I would have picked Somerset @ BC. Secondly, if someone thinks I'm taking a shot directly at them, then they either have a guilty conscience, or there is at least a grain of truth to what was said. I've said it time and again, people don't like to hear the truth. And, should we somehow, in our youth movement, manage to give one away this week, we have the built-in excuse of only 6 seniors on the team, and several players out for the season. Guess we didn't say enough prayers. Lots of inexperience on both sides of the line. FWIW, this is our game of the season. Every year.

Manfred, I was being sarcastic when I said you were hating a already in the 2nd week. I sometimes get amused when the Mccort -vs- world talk starts from both sides. If I offended you I apologize for that was not my intent. I think the GOTW is based as much on history as the records of the participants. I agree this is the GOTW because it is McCort AND Forest Hills. Week five I would think the Richland and McCort match-up will be GOTW even though the Rams will prob be 4-0 and the Crushers could possibly be 0-4. Those two teams hate each other and that game has turned into arguably the best rivalry in the LHAC with close games between the two the last 6 or so seasons. I believe they are 3-3 against each other in that span. For this same reason I think Crimson chose McCort-Forest Hills this week.

I noticed the Forest Hills-Bishop McCort game was the cover story for the Tribune Democrat's preview today. I'm not exactly sure what your argument is either through any of your posts either.

It is finally starting to feel like football season on this board. Now If only my old friend Jack Daniels would post. It would seem like old times.

So a 16-14 game that came down to some huge plays in the last 5 minutes wasn't the GOTW? Yeesh heck of an effort from both sides. Those two teams were battling hard. Gutsy performance from McCort's Marc Smith and Forest Hills Joe Donoughe. FH mistakes let McCort back in the game, but McCort roughing Donoughe was the difference IMO.

That was McCort's THIRD roughing the passer penalty of the game. You hardly ever see ONE in a season, let alone 3 in one game.

I was thinking the same. I've never seen so many of those in one game, and I've never seen two unforced safety's either. Truly a strange game all around.

Well, you don't PLAN unforced safeties.

Every roughing call came after the quarterback was hurt?? Laying on ground rolling about for all to see. Talk about miracle healing manfred. He was able to go back in jumping all over the place on the second play every time.
At least Roman's miracle was healing of a true injury.
By the way, regarding your Christian comment. It is not required to be Cristian to go to McCort. Just a desire for an excellent education.

Saw the game, Well played by both teams, Crimson's Ghost you did pick this game as one of the best and you were Right. Roughing the passer penalty go, Coach Don was coaching the official from the sideline to watch his qb. With a game on the line, again rough penalty to be call, most official would let the teams play, again D-6 officials can change outcome of the game, agian it was a great game. If McCort would have played like this the 1st week they would be 1-1 not 0-2, with Somerset coming in next and Beford and Richland. McCort might be 0-5.
