Nobody else with any input on D-6? Maybe it is a waste of time for me to post these things on here.

HR,

Shaler lost a tough one to Penn Hills last night, 74-67 in OT. The Titans trailed by 12 with under 3:00 left and actually took a 2 point lead with :40 left...One of the quickest comebacks I ever witnessed. Penn Hills choked big time vs. Shaler's pressure D. A very questionable foul call enabled PH to send it to OT. PH won out in OT.

Penn Hills pressed and played m2m the whole game......PH shot 35 Fts, Shaler shot 8 and never reached the bonus.

I smelled a rat.

WPIAL pairings come out tonight.

W~T, post us the pairings when you get them, I'm interested to see what kind of matchups there are.

Sounds like when CC went to FH this year, the fouls were something like 27-6 at one point while both teams were playing a full court m2m. Then the FH fans had the audacity to complain about officiating when they came to Ebensburg and we thouroughly beaten by 20+.

Awwww, c'mon! We have to have something to whine about since we were eliminated from the D6 Duals and we won't be beating Tyrone in football for the rest of this decade!

Don't be to dispondent over the number of replies. The number of views to your post is significant.

But in response here is my opinions.

AAAA- SC over Hollidaysburg
State College head and shoulders over the rest of the field. The Golden Tigers seem to be playing better at the right time.

AAA - Lewistown over Johnstown
IMO the most open class. Any one of five or six teams have shown moments of brilliant play throughout the season. On the inverse, these teams have all been inconsistent at times. Lewistown appears to be the most consistent and should be the favorite.

AA - Westmont over McCort
I think these two teams have just a little more athletiscm and talent than most of the other teams. McCort is the beneficiary of an upper bracket that I don't think is real strong. IMO four (Westmont, Lig. Valley, BG, & Mt. Union) of the top five teams are in the lower bracket.

A - BC over Conemaugh Valley
Not a strong year for Class A. As stated in a previous post, which BC team will show up? They have shown the ability to be a strong contender not only in D6 but possibily also the capability of winning some games in state playoffs. Not sure if any of the other teams have enough fire power to win it, but it's playoff time and anything can happen.

Saw Westmont tonight, and I don't know how any body in AA is going to stop Mahler. He is a house, and can score at any time. They are now my favorite to take AA in a runaway.

Not that I am very knowledgable about the local girls teams, but did anyone happen to notice that the 11th seed in "AA" girls has 14 wins? That is incredible. How tough is that bracket?

Pretty darn tough...Central has two Bishop's back to back if they win their first one vs. McCort.
