BA is going to stomp NBC. I love how all these schools that have good season's and dominate by beating all the "Little Sister's of the Poor" of Central PA come into Bellwood with all these high hopes of "this is the year we beat Bellwood, you wait and see bla bla bla" I've seen this same story before time and time again; Juniata Valley, Glendale, Mo-Valley, Penns Valley, Southern Huntingdon, Portage, Purchase Line, Northern Bedford, Mount Union, and Chestnut Ridge. They ALL were DOMINATING their competition and it ended with Bellwood-Antis. Same story, same result, just different Cinderella. There's a reason B-A's ICC Streak is 30+. The Clock will strike mid-night on NBC at about 830PM Friday night when B-A is up by 3 TDs in the 3rd qtr. Sorry D5, D6 still has the best class-A team around...

Bellwood-Antis roles...35-14

I agree with raven. Last years BA team was worse and NBC better. Why would this game be any closed this year when BA is the home team? Expect a deflating loss for NBC and a streak to continue. Only teams to beat BA in area lately are BM, Tyrone, Richland, BC and Penns manor. And bishop mccort was awhile back. They are the staple of D5/D6 A and its well deserved

I wouldn't necessarily act like NBC is the Cinderella running through their schools magical season. They usually win 8+ games on a annual basis. CR always had very good teams in the ICC. Now I think Bellwood wins by 14+ points but not really an accurate comparison.

Look at who NBC plays on a regular basis??? Yea they are a cinderella. If NBC had to play/or contend with in playoffs with teams like Tyrone, Portage, Richland, BC, BM, and PM they would be lose all those games. NBC lost to Mount Union and BA beat MU by 2 TDs. NBC beats up on your Claysburgs and Williamsburgs of Central PA. NBC beat Tussey Mountain who is putting up HUGE numbers this year but I'm still not totally sold. Guess we will see when the smoke clears tomorow night...

NB is a perennial contender in D5A. This is not, by any means, a Cinderella season for the Panthers. This was expected to be a down season for NB, and yet they're performing very well. They've build a very solid program in Loysburg.

The schools you are naming are all significantly bigger than NB. I would expect them to not be able to compete with AA schools like Tyrone on a regular basis. Also, when you talk about them "beating up on poor schools" like Williamsburg and Claysburg, please remember that their enrollment is not much larger than those schools, and NB is smaller than schools like Everett and CR who they regularly beat in most sports. Historically, they've been smaller than their biggest "rival" Tussey Mountain, a school they have owned, especially in football.

Will NB beat Bellwood tomorrow night? Probably not. They're certainly the underdog. But, that doesn't take away from the success that the very small, rural district has historically had.

Last year's B-A team was worse? Really? Personally, I think last year's team would beat this year's team by 2 TDs. They are still the top dog in D6 A this year, but I wouldn't expect them to advance as far in the state playoffs.

I wonder if the ICC leadership will ever tire of B-A running the table in football enough to consider membership changes. It will also be very interesting to see where B-A falls in the next two year cycle in football. They were just under the limit in the last two year cycle (i.e. 179 vs. 186).

My point exactly. Bellwood-Antis plays all these "bigger" teams. If they are a "D5 Perenial Power" than that ends of the argument of D5 being better than D6, there's no way. D6>D5. Here's my point: 2004, Juniata Valley was UNDEFEATED, had the #1 defense in the state of PA (had 20 pts scored on them ALL SEASON). They came to Bellwood, not only did BA beat them but put up 35 points on them. 2010 Portage was UNDEFEATED, averaging 60+ pts a game, just DOMINATING teams. They came to Bellwood and got SHUT DOWN. I'm not saying NBC is a scrub team, but they are not a perenial power like you say they are. If they played the same schedule as Bellwood-Antis they would have atleast 4-losses: Tyrone, Mount Union, Bellwood-Antis, and Richland. Then they would have to contend with Portage, PM, Homercenter, BA, and others in playoffs. NBC is a cinderella compared to BA. They might score a few TDs but I garuntee BA wins this game by multiple TDs. I've seen this same story SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO many times. A small-town team having a "great" season comes into Bellwood UNDEFEATED or with 1-loss with high hopes saying "this is the year, you just wait and see" and every single time it is the same result...

Konjo you are clueless if you think BA is better this year than last year. Remember the Worthing boys? Shawley? DeGennero? Last year's team is 2 scores better, easily.

Raven, I think your putting words in mouths of everyone who is defending NB here. Nobody is saying NB has a program as successful as Bellwood. Not even close. NB has had a very successful run in football lately. They are far from a "cinderella." They are a small school playing other small schools. They also are far from BA's level. Bellwood plays the exact same schedule as NB, except for Tyrone and week 10. NB has a AAA school in week 10, so it's not like they're seeking out Ferndale for Week 10.

I feel Bellwood is at least 10 points better than NB this year. But I will say that NB will have the best player on the field tomorrow night in Blake Over.

Raven is not calling them a Cinderella to win d5 just a Cinderella to end bellwoods ICC streak. That is 100% reasonable
