Re: Home Field advantage for BG
The district championships have been at Mansion Park for a very long time. Its not like they moved it to BGs "home field" this week since BGs in the finals. Its just how it is. Its not an advantage. Just like UCLA and the Rosebowl, or Miami and the Orange bowl. Its the venue regardless of what teams make it. Just happens its BGs field. Dont make it more than what it is. Its a turf field (even playing field) and its a big enough venue that neither crowd will have a "home field advantage".

I dont think this is homefield advantage. Mansion park is almost too big for A playoffs. It won't get filled up

Exactly. It's the perfect neutral field (just coincidence it's BG's home field) But here's 5 Reason's Mansions Park is the best D6 Championship Venue:
1. Mansion Park is the nicest venue to use in D6
2. It is the biggest centrally located venue for ALL teams in D6
3. It's artifical turf. Allowing an EVEN playing field for ALL teams.
4. It's so open and spread out that neither team can have a true "home field" crowd advantage.
5. Wendy's is Mansion Parks food supplier!!! What's to complain about watching football and eating a Wendy's Baconater AT THE SAME TIME!!!

Ugh i disagree with 5. I'd take home made food anyday over those types of consession stands. Every heritage school has concessions that are far and above mansion's and i imagine most other schools do too! Sheetz should be the ones running mansion!!!!
Boy do i miss sheetz

Wendy's food isn't anything to write home about... but c mon Konjo... You miss Sheetz food?? Really?? Do you also miss the morning after eating Sheetz food when you're sitting there and it feels like you're guts are rotting from the inside-out? Sheetz has really gone downhill in the last fifteen years or so. Sheetz's staple used to be getting something MADE TO ORDER the way you want it. Now a days they charge you for every single little topping and dipping sauce and it ends up costing you a small fortune just to get a good sub and something to dip your chicken strips into. The day is coming when they start charging you for napkins and straws. Nothing beats an old-fashioned crock-pot hot dog with saurkraut and a hot chocolate at a high school football game!

Dude until you move to a part of the country that doesn't have sheetz you have no idea how nice it is. at most gas stations out here the only food option there is would be a half cooked hotdog! McDonalds are really the only popular fast food restaraunt. And they dont have provolone cheese at subways!!! Like come on!!!!

Have you ever been to a PM Game? There are TWO concession stands. One has hamburgers, Hot dogs, fries and Stromboli. The other has homemade halushki, parogis, meatballs subs with luigis (Clymer) meatballs, Pigs in the blanket and hot sausage. LOL A portage parent came to the PM/BG game and called me before it to see when the concession stands opened. He wasn't worried about the game time!!!!QuoteTheRaven wrote:Exactly. No I mainly go to BA/Tyrone games. Where pizza, burgers, fries, and chicken fingers is the norm. I went to 2 Richland games this year and seen they have Chinese food at their concession stands...very interesting haha
I did go to a Glendale game this year as well and had a cup of semi-luke warm kind of cold "hot" chocolate...kinda gross!!!

I will put the PM food against any concession stand in D6.QuoteTheRaven wrote:No I mainly go to BA/Tyrone games. Where pizza, burgers, fries, and chicken fingers is the norm. I went to 2 Richland games this year and seen they have Chinese food at their concession stands...very interesting haha

Re: Home Field advantage for BG
Guess I will have to go to a PM game sometime on an empty stomach, only problem for me besides the fact that BA has no ties with them is that Clymer is a HAUL from my house in Bellwood HAHAHAHA talk about over the river, through the woods, across the mountains to the Comets house we go! I would feel like Bilbo and the Dwarf company in the Hobbit traveling to the Lonely Mountain lol. That's a pretty mountainous winding road drive from Bellwood..
