I understand that a lot of athletes smoke weed because it is a very effective pain reliever and muscle relaxer but rules are rules and you have to follow the rules wether you agree with them or not. Obviously it will be legal in all states shortly and eventually at some point down the road it will be legal in sports leagues but for now it's not. It's not hard to follow the rules. Dumb mistake by them.

What bothers me the most, is that Bell played in tonight's game, as if nothing happened. Hope all those 12 year old Steeler fans out there were rooting for him. Unbelievable.

I have no problem with them playing. Every other suspended player that is playing in the preseason too. Realistically they'll both be suspended for like 4 games and they have to get there work in now. Let the NFL dish out the punishments, not the Steelers front office.

Just saw Channel 6 sports. Supposedly Tomlin said that Bell playing in the 3rd quarter was HIS punishment for the pot incident. He's an a$$hole too.

The way some of the other Steelers played, they may be users as well.

According to what I heard, since neither has ever failed a test to this point, a chance neither gets a suspension, unless it's team imposed

I was personally whatever with them playing.... But in the pre season most starters are looking to just be on the sidelines after halftime so I'm playing him longer against 2nd and 3rd team might seem like a punishment. I feel they both deserve 2 game suspensions to start the season from the steelers.

IMO Blount should receive no penalty and Bell should be suspended a game for driving impaired. That's the only crime that I see here.

The way they looked last night as a team, might be more punishment to make them wear the uniform... That was embarrassing
