True. We would have to listen to that garbage again. If they are not good enough to beat BG or any team in the playoff bracket they should not be the champion. Those are just excuses for coming up short. The games are still played and the games are still fair.youngbuck wrote:This would stll make Portage the best public single A school in D6
Can't wait to read that again

Funny thing is the interviewer basically set up that statement by saying to Coach Gouse that Portage was carrying the torch for public schools in the championship. But I know how most of yinz love to take shots whenever you can at our program or people involved in It so I'll just sit back, smile and let you enjoy it as usual.

Raven, Raven, Raven, I think you have been sipping on too much hard cider.
The ICC reign of Bellwood is over next week. Face it, the Trojans are the real deal this year.
B-A was lucky yo get out of Mt Union with the win last year.
As far as the D-6 AA games will Mt Union be there in the championship game I don't know.
I don't feel anyone in AA is really stepping forward yet.
I think the jury is still out on Central and Tyrone.
As far as the "A" side BG is the team. I feel they may slip @ Somerset (AAA) but that is a good
time to lose, 1 game before the play-offs start. Portage and Blairsville will be there late but will
not be able to handle BG. B-A may not have the numbers this year. Some of their AA opponents
have dropped to A and the points will probably get them into a situation where they could be
number 7 or 8 and have to travel for their games. I'm being told their a year away from another
possible D-6 run. It won't be this year.
The Trojans put the points on the board again today vs Mo Valley.
Speed kills and Mt Union has it on the gridiron.

Central graduated 19 of 22 starters from last season.youngbuck wrote:How much turnover did Central have from last year?
Tyrone vs Central sounds like a good game as does BG vs BA
You play to win the game!!!

I wouldn't overlook Central Cambria in AA they took it to Forest Hills tonight. Central Cambria could be a "Dark Horse" in AA playoffs this year.

FYI Tyrone always has to prove something. Year after year they always get a teams best. I wouldn't overlook that they dont it's week by week and team by team
For those kidding themselves Bellwood and Central are not down this year. It's called a program. You develop a bunch of kids that can really play. You don't have to wait for those special 1 or 2 athletes to win games. 35 points is the magic number then you build your future. Mr Hayes has been doing it for decades at Bellwood. I'm not looking but go find a sub 500 season
