District 5 Class A Playoff Chase

After tonight here is what I'm predicting.


1. TM (8-2) AA win
2. Berlin (8-2) playing Portage week 10
3. Mey (8-2)
4. NBC (6-4) AA win
5. Shade (6-4)
6. Everett (5-5)
7. Windber (5-5)

Everett has better wins than Shade and Windber and I think they would be ahead of either of they ended with the same record.
Remaining schedule for 4-7 seeds.

NB has Williamsburg and Northern Cambria.

Shade has Windber. The winner gets Mey week 10. The loser gets BV.

Everett gets CK then TM.

Windber vs Shade is a huge game next week and so is NBC vs Williamsburg.

I don't know what to expect in the Shade-Windber matchup.

Week 10 is here. Here is how everything plays out.... I think. The seed I posted is my projection based on who I think is favored this week

TM is probably a 2TD favorite vs rival Eve.
Portage is probably a TD favorite over Berlin.
Mey is probably a 10 point fav over Shade
Shade - see above.
NB is probably a 4 pt fav over N Cambria
Eve - see above
Win is probably a 2 TD favorite bs BV
NS-CT is a toss up

1. TM - the Titans play Everett. Win and they are 1 or 2 depending on Berlin vs Portage result. Lose and they are 2.

2. Berlin - the Mountaineers play at Portage. Win and they are 1. Lose and they can still be 1 if TM loses to Eve. Portage is the only team to score more than 6 points on Berlin. I would say Berlin is a 7 point underdog to Portage this week.

3. Meyersdale- they play Shade this week. I don't know if they can finish lower than 3rd because I don't see Shade beating them by enough to make up the 21-0 differential from the first time they played.

4. Shade - they play Meyersdale. This group has been improving all year. As far as I know to get to 3, they have to put one on Meyersdale. I don't see that happening.

Conceivably a win can get them to 3 but no lower than 4.

A loss puts them at 4 or 5 based on what Eve does.
Shade loss - Eve loss 4
Shade loss - Eve win 5

5. NBC - they host Northern Cambria this week. With a win NB is 5 or 6. If NB wins and TM wins then NB is 5. If NB wins and Eve wins then NB is 6. If NB loses they are 6 or 7 depending on the Windber vs BV result.

NB win and TM win - NB 5
NB win and Eve win - NB 6
NB loss and Win win - NB 7
NB loss and BV win - NB 6

6. Eve - they play TM this week. They could end up anywhere in the 4-6 range and there are a lot of variables involved.

Winning scenarios and they are 4 or 5.

If Shade loses, Eve probably owns the tiebreaker (wins by opponents) but I didn't calculate it.

If Shade wins they are 5.

If Eve loses they are 5 or 6 based on NBCs game. NB holds the tiebreaker even though they lost to Eve based on the fact they beat SH (AA).

Lose and NB loses 5
Lose and NB wins 6 (I think they hold tiebreaker over Windber)

7. Windber win and they are 5-5. They host BV who they just beat pretty badly. They should be favored to win this week again.

Win wins - NBs result impacts them.
Win win and NB win - Win is 7
Win win and NB loses they are 6.

8. CT or NS - they are basically playing a wild card game this week.

Taylor was hurt in the 4th quarter but should be fine from what I heard.
