I'm from Berlin and there has been way too much whining that the refs beat them last game. That's crap. Try tackling Kephart and not snapping the ball 10 feet over the QBs head (they did make a change at center). There will always be a bad call here or there, that happens every game. If Berlin plays the way they are capable of I expect a different result on Friday night.

Superstar is correct! I was at the game and the ref WERE NOT the reason Berlin lost. Granted they had some bad calls but they weren't the only reason Portage won. I get sick of hearing people (from EVERY SCHOOL) blame the officials. in VERY VERY few cases do the officials determine the outcome of games. They may miss a call, but I'M SURE it's never done on purpose!

The whole "late hit out of bounds" is a call that I have seen consistently called badly over the past several years. It seems that if the defender even touches the ball carrier as he is going out of bounds they throw the flag for this. it used to be that this was only called if the ball carrier was hit after they were at least 3 feet out of bounds. I guess the coaches/players need to adjust to how it is being called.

I don't believe it personally and won't until I actually see it.
It seems very logical for either Ferndale to co-op with Westmont -or- for Conemaugh Valley to co-op with Blacklick Valley.

A combined Westmont/Ferndale would be double-A. A combined CV/BV would be single-A with about 40 to spare.

I guess CV/Ferndale could also work and would be single-A.

CV and BV could never do a co op because of the distance between the schools. You can't just combined any two teams.

I am somewhat familiar with the distance between the two (a little less than 10 miles btw) as I grew up in East Conemaugh. We're not talking about consolidation here, just a simple co-op for football. Yes, there are some rural extremes to each district, but you would be no more than 30 minutes by car to pick a kid up after practice.

Conemaugh Valley students attend Admiral Perry Vo Tech which is further away than Blacklick Valley

If this is true I wonder if they will go back to the WestPAC-Heritage crossover?
