Manfred is correct. It was partially Blocked. The snap was a whisker high, but the holder got it down and the kicker got a good foot into it. It was hard to make out the Tyrone players # on the dark jersey, but I think it was #5. He came untouched from the kicker's right side, made a heckova play.
Youngbuck, instead of being informed, and giving credit to the Tyrone player for a good play, you choose to take a shot at Manfred/FH. Is that because you dislike Manfred? FH? Or both?

I'm surprised at some of the petty people that visit this site. Rather discouraging.

Penn Cambria missed a 24 yard attempt after a 15 play 8 minute drive which would have put PC up by 10 with 7:44 to play. Central scored 4 plays later.

but the kicking game includes the snap, blocking, the hold and the kick
Fh did not go for the XP in over time against Johnstown but failed on the 2 pt conversation
they had an extra point blocked against Bedford

I just think that a play off team team should be able to kick an extra point or a 4 yd field goal

FH also had a penalty for 12 men on the field on a punt return, that allowed Tyrone to keep the ball, that is not an acceptable penalty at this point in the season
Special teams are part of the game too

Hey youngbuck, did you see the Michigan at Northwestern game yesterday? With 5 seconds left in the game, and down 10-3, NW throws a TD pass to make the score 10-9. INSTEAD of kicking the extra point to force overtime, NW chooses to go for two. The attempt fails, and NW looses 10-9. Gee, since they went for two, maybe they didn't have a kicker???? That's YOUR reasoning, isn't it?? After all, the old adage that you "go for the tie at home, and go for the win on the road" would have made more sense here, right? When Bailey went for 2 at Johnstown, that was HIS choice to go for the win on the road. I remember an FH playoff game at home vs Tyrone several years ago. Tyrone made a furious 4th quarter comeback with a late TD to make the score something like 35-34. With all the momentum in Tyrone's favor, (FH was reeling at that point) Franco decided to kick the extra point to force overtime, instead of going for the win on the road. While QB Bryce Mertiff stood on the sidelines, Tyrone's reliable kicker MISSED the extra point, ending their playoff run that season. Wonder how many criticized Franco for THAT decision.

Having a good kicker in high school football is solid gold. Long kickoffs and touchbacks, extra points and field goals, and having a good punter to help with field position. Absolute game changers when they are good

I like to say it this way: Kicker is only 25%, Holder 25%, Snapper 25%, Blocking 25%. A breakdown by any 1 of those elements can lead to an unsuccessful attempt. For which, the Kicker usually gets the blame.
FH's Special Teams issues this year (and past several years) had nothing to do w/ Place Kicking. It was their Coverage on Kick and Punt Returns. Horrendous. Would've been better off to just kick off out of bounds, etc

Per MaxPreps: FH's Donoughe was 12/14 PAT's (1 Blocked, 1 wide left) and 1/2 FG's (1 Blocked). I don't think that's bad at all for a 17yr old playing for love of the game. Actually, that's better than Roy Gerela (sp?) used to do for the Steelers in the 70's. And he got Paid, haha!
