Not Trace McSorely however Penn State DID get a QB Commitment today.......

Indianapolis Decatur Central quarterback Tommy Stevens has decommitted from Indiana in favor of Penn State.

The 6-foot-4, 200-pound Stevens becomes commit No. 19 for the Nittany Lions.

Ranked as the nation's No. 17 dual-threat quarterback, Stevens took an official visit to Penn State with both his parents for the Ohio State game and waited until after his senior season ended to make his final decision.

As a senior, Stevens completed nearly 60 percent of his passes for 1,891 yards and 16 touchdowns to six interceptions. He rushed for another 842 yards and 10 scores.

Stevens was the only quarterback Penn State offered after former quarterback Brandon Wimbush left the fold.

Matt Miller of Bleacher Report and former Ravens scout said he talked to several NFL scouts who said they are not concerned at all with Hacks on field performance so far this season and blame it mainly on the new offense and OL issues. They say he still has the best tools and will still be a top pick in 2016.

Hackenberg is a good QB. People tend to forget he is a 19 year old playing against good collegiate competition behind a offensive line full of walk ons. Is he NFL ready today? No. Will he be in 18 months? Maybe. Will he be in 30 months? Most likely.

He has a cannon, seems to be a fairly bright individual, is a prototypical NFL QB. Does PSU give him the best path to Sundays, probably not.

Actually Titan that score might not be that far off. I was at the 6-4 game with Iowa and still haven't stopped having nightmares about the offensive football that was played that day. I'm hoping Saturday doesn't sink to that level.

I was at that 6-4 Iowa game also, but remember leaving at half time to go tailgate. That was a brutal game to watch, couldn't imaging staying and watching the whole thing.

All I remember from that game is Robbie Gould missing some chip shots then going on to the NFL to become one of the better kickers in the league.

I didn't miss any of my shots, they were flowing pretty good while listening to the 2nd half while tailgating.

I'm curious to how the officiating crews are chosen for these out of conference games. Penn State played UCF in Ireland and was the road team and had to deal with the American Conference officiating crew. Now at Home vs Temple, Penn State once again has to deal with the American Conference crew. Just seems odd to me or maybe I Just don't know the rules on how it works....
