With all 22 starters back Bedford should make an exciting run this year. Win D5, Beat Karns City, and play well against the D7 school. Win it all is a bold statement. I don't think the LHAC is a good enough AA conference currently to go the distance.

Bedford will do very well this year but the reason they don't get past D7 won't be that the lhac is weak. They play the defending A state champ and a AAA semi final team and another quality AAA team in Johnstown as well as some other decent AA teams. They just won't be better than an Aliquippa or South Fayette.

Yeah, I was there. He went out early in the first quarter. I would have assumed Bedford needed him in that game. But, they pretty much dominated the game without him.

Physically they beat Somerset up... Barnes took a pretty good beating in the game. He showed toughness to hang in as long as he did. I would say he was in need of some pain pills after the game. I think he finished with negative rushing yards. Heiple and Barnes just couldn't get anything going. But Montgomery and Cook carried the Bedford O. Montgomery seemed to take some heat from some Somerset folks in other threads. I don't think he gave them much ammo after Friday.

Bedford won in the trenches and the defense got a lot better. Congrats on a well played game. Somerset scored early on that long 1st drive and they took it away saying the qb was over the los. Close call. Saw it on film and it was close. That killed them. Also a couple 4th and short drives killed them. I don't think you count sacks as rushing yards. Barnes played a hell of a game. had over 100 yards passing and a td along with 13 tackles on defense. Heiple pulled a muscle early and was in and out. Credit bedford for a great game though. That cook boy is a hell of a player both sides of the ball. He is an awesome runner and sets that offense up with teams keying on him and taking all the hard hits to allow the qb to pull the ball out. Montgomery runs that option really nice. They clearly dominated in the trenches both sides of the ball. Don't know why the coach was even throwing the ball. Montgomerys two int gave somerset their 2 tds. They should have kept running it. Congrats to bedford. They have a nice team and some tough linemen that block well. Their dends are really good too and bring the heat. Good luck the rest of the way and hope shaffer is alright. Saw the film and he was blocking and the guy tackling the qb fell on his right ankle. Didn't look good.
