Dude read the title , this has nothing to do with defense,   leave to the westpac guy to not understand what offensive Mvp means
It was just a statement. Didn't mean to make you cry. Yes, make fun of the WestPAC because it makes you feel big and mighty. You're a joke. The rest of my post is about offense. Could you not take that and have some more insight on it? No you have to jump at me for mentioning something about D. Inconceivable!
Anyhow, Cook not only runs the ball well but he draws so many defenders to him in the run game opening things up
If only closed minds came with closed mouths

Very impressive
Yes Montgomery is responsible for 22 TD's, but beyond that, he's the reason that offense works. That's why he's my  pick for MVP.

Barnes has 67-107 for 1062 yds 10 tds and 2 ints passing.                                                                                                                                558 yds rushing 13 tds total 23 tds. Not bad losing mostoller and beeman.

That's why I threw his name out there... He's a stud and would have to be in the conversation.

Ditto Cook.  Hank was just embellishing him a little as an athlete on both sides of the ball.  Nothing wrong with that regardless of title, nobody else -EVER- does this, do they.

Chadbourn is my MVP 1000+ rushing yds plus a couple hundred receiving and passing yards with a bunch of TD's. Montgomery I feel like under achieved a little bit this year he didn't have the eye popping stats I expected but still a great player. Cook is a close 2nd the kid is a beast.

I think one of the big differences here is that Somerset and Bedford both have two players that we are all giving kudos to and they are well deserved. But Chadbourne does not have that player at BG, he has quality team mates but he is truly the horse that makes them go.

The only problem with that is Johnstown's offence doesn't produce consistently I held out hope but I witnessed that Friday they have no offense

Not saying Montgomery isn't good, but there are games where he only throws 5 times. I feel that he would be a big loss but the backup could still hand the ball off to Cook 40 times. When I think of MVP I think what team would be significantly worse without this player and I would say it comes down to Cook or Chadbourn or even Pyshnik from Westmont.

Not making a choice here one way or another but maybe this helps explain Montgomery's situation. His leading receiver from last year (Shaffer) has been out all year. He was back on Friday and I think he had two touchdown passes to him. Bedford seems to also be more focused on running this year. Not just anyone can run the option. It takes a lot of skill and trust b/w the QB and RB to do it well. They can't just throw someone in there to hand the ball off to Cook as someone stated.

Montgomery was also injured in the Somerset game. He is the teams kicker and punter and had to give up those duties. On Friday he did start punting again. And with Shaffer being injured Montgomery has been playing much more on defense this year as well.
