This was a good game until Lamont Wade decided it didn't need to be and he proved that he can take over a game in the same fashion as Tyler Boyd. The biggest thing I took away from this game....field conditions cannot be an excuse for Clairton. They ran just fine with enormous puddles on the field.

I wanted to say something about those conditions. The amount of complaining last year for that game when the field was fine but nothing compared to that muddy mess. Wasn't a single complaint about conditions. I get there's a difference between playoffs and regular season but both teams play on the same field.

Secondly the Portage vs Windber game could be a tricky one for the Mustangs if they continue to be sluggish out of the gates against opponents. With a unique Ramblers Single Wing offense and a shaky at times Portage defense it COULD be interesting.I'm sure they'd love to have a signature win a their new stadium and what better one than against Portage. I know Crimson's Ghost stated it previously in another post and you slightly eluded to it in this one, that this game "used" to be a big show down. Now I can't speak for the Windber side however as Stang4life now and GoldenRamsFan in the past can attest, this game is still a rivalry on our end and is known as "Dub(W for Windber)Week" for the days leading up to the game. We still remember the many years of heartache that the Ramblers put us through before the recent string of success against them and that isn't going to go away for awhile I'd imagine.
Here we are talking about a tough game against a weak Windber team

The guy is talking about a team that wasn't playing 48 minutes of football, and rivalries. Just guessing you have problems with the Westpac...and especially Portage. It's OK though..it's your given right. Just wondering if you where on the Berlin,Central,BG..etc .. bandwagon the last couple years when they made their runs into the state tournament?? I know I certainly was..

Actually portage pride in the weekly score posts made fun of some people for calling united's win over shade a big win. This is for a program who is making playoffs for the first time since 2010 who i beleive have only won around 12 games since their last playoff appearance. Portagepride just talked trash saying beating shade shouldnt be a big win because they are a really bad team!!! So now he is pointing out some easy hypocrit points for portagepride

Didn't see that one. My bad.. Great job United!! Always good when local team does good. In another post I commented how the some Portage starters told me that Shade was a real physical team.

Portage vs Windber is a rivalry game. Rivalry games, regardless of records, can get interesting. Plus personally watching the Mustangs defense this year I thought the Single Wing offense would give them fits. If I was "hyping" the game by saying it was still a rivalry and breaking down a defense vs offensive scheme you're nuts.
