Look at the two teams you are talking about.....Portage and Conemaugh Township. Both of these teams have been on their deathbed for the past twenty years.
I'm not sure about CT but Portage has not had a competitive wrestling team since the mid 80's....Do they still have a co-op with BC?upnorth wrote:Twenty years is a long time to be on a deathbed.old school wrote:I need to choose my words wisely. But on a serious note, why not reduce the number of weight classes down to 12 or 10?
The point was that it's happened other places this year too, whether it be to small roster sizes, or injuries, or posturing, or whatever. It was to support the idea that tri, quad meets could be a good idea. Why waste money for 45 minute Jr High/Varsity duals when you could have more heavily participated events.deerslayer wrote:whats your point on the CK - MU match... guess u cant help when teams weigh kids in and don't send them out, or take forfeits. Portage does not co-op with any other school for wrestling. I believe they do co-op with BC in soccer however.old school wrote:I'm not sure about CT but Portage has not had a competitive wrestling team since the mid 80's....Do they still have a co-op with BC?upnorth wrote:Twenty years is a long time to be on a deathbed.old school wrote:I need to choose my words wisely.
