The Capitals had nothing on the Chicago Cubs, Houston Astros or Philadelphia Eagles.

Flower, Neal, Reaves, Engelland. Ex- Pens. That carries a lot of weight right there.

It goes to show the Pens had a backup plan for the Capitals knowing they would eventually beat us. GO KNIGHTS!

Your leotard is still too tight.  These expansion teams have still not won a Stanley Cup in the garage league:  St. Louis 51 years; Buffalo 48; Vancouver 48; Washington 44; Phoenix 39; San Jose 27; Ottawa 26; Florida 25; Nashville 20; Winnipeg 19; Columbus and Minnesota 18.  And now here is Las Vegas, in its first year, playing for a Stanley Cup.

Well the teams you listed have certainly been close, making the finals and making the conference finals. It's arguably the hardest trophy in sports to win. Vegas has a huge advantage of the Penguins having 2 franchise goalies on the same team.

I dont think vegas's roster is a major standout besides fleury to be honest. They just came together as a team and have played extremely well.... They are a anomally but come on know it all its not like anyone thought they would even make playoffs. How many times has a team subverted expectations from the preseason to win? This is no different

Come on!  A first year team has no business making it to the championship in its first season.  None.  This can't make the NHL look good.
