Did you not read my preview....They returned their offensive weapons. I know they beat a bad NS team, but if they can stay healthy with their low numbers I would put them over .500. Isn't this your team?

Those offensive weapons went 0-10 last year. Actually their top receiver and running back both graduated last year. I have to assume that NS is beyond bad.

Mckenzie was the top runner last year and looked good Saturday. Mccleester threw for over 1,000 yards last year with 9 tds and 7 ints. You would assume he would do better than last year. He has 2 decent receivers plus McKenzie. I'm not saying they'll win the WestPAC, but they should be much improved.

I think this week will give us some clarification, there is a question of how well Conemaugh Valley was coached last year?

In the West PAC it is not uncommon for teams to win by 40 one week and lose by 40 the next. I don't think coaching was much of an issue last year. They simply got run over. There are 22 kids on the roster, ten are seniors. The junior high roster, according to the program, has 15.

I think Steele started at Bedford around 2010 and that would make him 3-2 against FH. I would be very surprised if Bailey doesn’t have his team ready to go this week and it should be a very interesting game.
Shoemaker, the head coach at Ridge, coached Bedford for years in the LHAC and was quite successful, winning several conference championships. He knows what to expect in the conference and Ridge has good athletes, but like Bedford, are very young in certain areas. I don’t want to put too much stock in these week 1 games, but they definitely didn’t go the way I expected them to.

Reading the different North Star vs Valley write up's and seeing the stat's I saw the Cougars had six turnover's. Three of them were from the QB getting hit. Five of the turnover's happened inside their own 50 which left a short field for the Blue Jays and one of those was returned for a TD. Also CV scored on the first play from scrimmage on a 80+ yard pass play. Don't get me wrong this is good positive/right direction happening for CV, but even in the write up's the NS coach stated that his o-line was 100% brand new, missed a lot of blocking assignments and left unblocked rushers In all day and was a mess. For me I think this game showed that North Star is further back than people expected even with some of their skill athlete's returning, more so than Conemaugh Valley actually being competitive on a week to week basis. However winning a game after losing 16 straight is definitely an Improvement and I'm happy for them.

Yep, been wrong before. Even with an extra day of prep. Maybe other teams should look to double down on Snyder.
