They might as well just wait a few years to name it. Then they can name it after the Snyders. They are probably the only kids to bring a packed gymnasium to Hyndman. At least recently anyway.

Well I go to Hyndman school...and this is the 1st i have heard about this rumor and lol...lets say I hear most of what's going on. And although the snyders are Hyndman's best...not everyone that packs into our gym comes to see the Snyders...its a team.

Shouldn't Johnny Miller and Chris Stoner, SR be added to the prospective list?

Chris Stoner as in the coach during the early 50's, and superintendent of primary schools later on? I'm just curious why you say that, seeing as he is my grandfather.

Not sure if this is true, but it sounds like a good idea. Having played against many of these "legends" and having played on a couple of John Kellers teams in the 70's, I have an opinion on who it should be named after. First, Von Lehman was a heck of an athlete - much better at baseball than basketball, but good nonetheless. John Keller was a "coach" in name only - he was there a long time, but wasn't very good. Johnny Miller was a very good ball player, but not the #1 player at Hyndman High School all-time - probably somewhere in the top ten though. Don Logue doesn't really deserve mention, so.... I don't know the Snyders, but I've heard they are good. I'd love to see them up against Chris Stoner Jr, Donnie Sisk and me - I kind of think we would 'smoke em'. I would recommend one of two people: Chris Stoner Sr - he brought basketball to Hyndman High School in the 50's and has helped coach teams all the way through to 2002 OR Bruce May, the #1 Basketball player ever at Hyndman High School. He averaged 30 points per game....in the 50's!
