The Steelers have signed Duce Staley. If he stays injury free he should solidify the running game. Great hands out the backfield too.

CTrackster----

I'd say Gildon is as good as gone with the re-signing of Haggans. They'll still take a cap hit this year but it will free up some money.

With the signing of Staley, and them talking to Atrell Hawkins, that really destroys their chances of signing a big time corner.wITH THE SKINS SIGNING SPRINGS,and P-BURGH restructuring deals just to get under the cap to make Staley an offer, that leaves no chance of Charles Woodson coming to town. The only thing that bothers me,db is the one position you almost never see a rookie excel at.Even the best ones were abused by wr's their rookie years. So the draft may help, but not this year.Gildon and Porter better put more heat on the qb this year or it'll be 400 yards a game instead of 300.

yeah they got a bunch of talent but they are just setting themselves up for a big dissapointment. Now they dont have an excuse to lose in the NFC championship again.

Oakland seems to like the older players. So good for both of them, I guess.
Terrell Owens went to Philadephia, and the Steelers need a good offensive lineman, bad. Wonder if Todd (or is it Ted) Staussie can help out there. And Gildon most likely won't be sticking around.
As far as the Redskins, everybody was saying how good they were gonna be with all those veterans, and while they came out of the blocks fast, they really stunk it up after the first 4 or 5 games. Too many big names to work together well perhaps. And that cap is gonna really hurt them hard when they don't have any young cheap labor to work with.

im glad sapp is in oakland, where that jerk can spend the rest of his overrated career in mediocrity. what kind of a fool woudl pass up the promising bengals for a decrepit lineup now void of their once-only true remaining star in charlie garner? oh well, as for the skins.....you will see a tremendous upswing now that they have been ridded of the southern scourge. gibbs will get results, they have the talent.
