If the USA would have immigration laws like I hear stated here, many of us would not be here today.

yeah, you cant label all immigrants as evil, they are just trying to survive just like the rest of us. it is a shame that the us is trying to cover this all up like it never happened, but thats the typical media. but i agree, it is a shame also that we are pretending that those american bodies were not desecrated like that. this is sure fire fuel for presidential debate.

The presidential debate. Kerry will wimp out. He knows he could not have handled this unstable worl situation and he knows it deep in his heart. He needs to quit being so self righteous.

I cant beleve we would do that kind of thing. Bush will do the right thing to punish them for the wrong doing .The bad thing is they keep finding more pictures of those Iraqie prisoners.

off topic, but Bush is doing a real good job lowering gas prices 1.89 what the faa! and i'm pretty sure about every political ad he had was about Kerry raising gas prices.

White Shadow. your torturing people to get them to speak is inhumane. what if iraqi's want to know what we know does that give them the right to torture.. a war crime is a war crime even it is to the deadliest terrorist in the world

Good point Slacker. We have to maintain a higher moral ground otherwise in the end we are not any better than them.

I think those guards at the prison were acting under orders from superior officers when told to humiliate the prisoners in such a manner. I mean, for one thing, if you did on your own, why would you take pictures to leave behind evidence for your superior officers to use against you? But time will ultimately tell who is responsible for those actions in Iraq.

Refresher course 101- Weapons of mass destruction- that which can be used for doing the most damage under the right circumstances at the right time. Scuds with chem. or biol. warheads? Yes, and if we were to look in Syria and Iran, we might find them, but we can't do that just now. Al-Qaeda operatives flying planes into buildings and blowing up buildings, trains, and ships, etc., I certainly think so. A former dictator who had thousands and possibly millions of his own people killed by those same chem. and biol. weapons and buried in mass graves we HAVE found, I absolutely think he qualifies also. How do YOU define WMD? I think we have done a FAIRLY good job of taking care of the situation, now we have to make up our minds if we are going to allow Iraqi civilian guerilla warfare to continue. More people WILL DIE in the process, but if we just pull out, it won't be long until Iraq is as bad off as it was before and all we've done will have been for nothing. As long as it is a war, we have got to go through the entire populace and wipe out as much resistance as possible. Even then we can't be totally sure someone from our side won't die in the process. That, unfortunately, is the way it is. Oh, so 1 or 2 prisoners were killed in the "interrogation process?" Is that not a minimal number for what we are trying to accomplish by interrogation? Note: Re-read my last lengthy post. Nowwhere did I say TORTURE of any of the Iraqi prisoners. I said INTERROGATE, PSYCHOLOGICALLY (manipulate), and HUMILIATE. No breaking bones with pipes, bamboo slivers under the nails set on fire, no hollow glass tubes inserted into male orifices and then broken, GI's strapped into "dunking chairs" and alternately submerged into icy and then near boiling water back and forth several times until the very skin is falling off the body -Sorry, maybe things like that are too squeamish for the majority of you here, but guess what, things like this have been done to OUR people by the Nazi's and Japanese, and many even worse to mention here. If you are interested in just how graphic, I'm sure the historical archives can supply you with all you need. Man's inhumanity to man.....It's never going to change. We as Americans think we are better than those 4th or 5th rate world countries, yet because we attempt to wage war with our moral hands tied, some people will slip up, do stupid things to make us all look bad, and make us forget why we're there in the first place.
