USA softball won another one today blanking China 4-0.. USA have blanked every team they played so far...guarenteed Gold medal there!

no the united states did not qualify based on one and only one reason....for some unknown reason the IOC decided some time ago to make the mens soccer tournament a U-23 tournament -3...which means that every player on ur roster must be under the age of 23 with the exception of 3 people, which may b of any age. unlike most countries, the US does not yet have a well developed youth system (it is very good...for the US, but not by world standards) hence our team was not good enough to qualify therefore they get to watch at home.
