Watch out for Somerset, do not underestimate them. With Fetzer at Somerset now they are very dangerous. Fetzer is one the best coaches in the area and can turn around any program. It may not happen this year, because a one year turn around of a program is not easy. But watch out don't talk them easily. Now after saying that all Bedford fans on this site will expect me to pick Somerset. However, Bedford will probably win this game by at least 3 TDs. It maybe close at the end of the first half, but Bedford should dominate the second half of the game. so Bisons 35-12 over Somerset.

Smitty,

YOU are right, Fetzer is a great coach and knows his stuff. I agree give him some time and they will win football games!! they just can't and won't beat Bedford with the #1 Seed on the line for Bedford!!

I don't think Bedford will get out coached. Rarely does that happen. I don't think Fetzer has enough to work with this year to threaten the Bisons. Bedford rolls over Somerset as they always do. 46-22!

I agree southpaw, Bedford rolls early and often in this one. No one for Somerset has the answer to stop Troy, as no team has this year. Mike Young will go over the century mark for the 4th time this year, while he and the front 8 shut down the Somerset attack. This one gets ugly early...

Bedford should win pretty easily. I have been more and more impressed with each passing game by these guys. Hopefully they keep improving and peak in the playoffs.

Agreed, to give the ball over on a turnover last week in the Redzone and have to settle for a missed field goal early in the game, to a good Bishop McCort team, and still come away with the win, thats saying alot. They will make mistakes but have the ability to bounce back and come the next time even harder. Bedford is really battle tested, as battle tested as could be to this point in the season, and that will be nothing but help for this upcoming game and beyond...

You guys are nuts! Yes, Bedford should kill them, but Somerset isn't that bad. Put them in the ICC and they are 7-1. Watch, Carroll will kill the teams in 6A just like they would be undefeated if the were in the ICC. The only team to give Carroll trouble is Blairsville. Somerset has a good line, a good back, and a good new coach.

grizzle,

How are we nuts? Somerset has all that you mentioned, but are they better than Bedford's people? No. In no way shape or form. Somerset will be good the next few years, but this year is a building year. Bedford might struggle a little in the first half, but will over power and out quick Somerset in the 2nd half.

As much as I'd like to see an upset in the Bedford/Somerset game, it won't happen. The Bedford players could call their own plays (oh wait, they already do) and win this game. Somerset's Simmons is a game-breaker, but I don't believe he'll be able to get loose against the stubborn Bedford defense.

I eluded to this over on LHSPORTS- the biggest possibility for an upset in Week 9 AA will probably be P-O losing to AAA Saint Mary's. It definitely should not happen, but that's why they play the games.
