At the risk of sounding like a grinch.......
When I get on BC since the snowflakes and stuff was added, the CPU utilization on my pc jumps to 100% as soon as I hit the site. Not sure if it's related, but it only happens on this site.......

My guess is you have a pretty old/crappy computer and yes it prob does have to do with the snow. I'll be taking it off shortly
