1stbaseman13: Don't you think if Everett had the best four players in the county they would be doing quite a bit better record-wise?
My Top Players in no particular order:
Ben Way, C.Ridge
Steve Wagner, NB
Boyd Beegle, E
Jordan Donaldson, TM
These 4 standout above the others. A notch below would be Chamberlain, TM; both Marshalls, Bedford; Kalfas, Everett; A.Ritchey, NB and Ridge has a slew of people in their balanced attack that could be considered here.

Nothing against Donaldson but he would be more of a threat if he could shoot outside... Chamberlain would be higher on my list-- nothing has to do with he's my brother either!!

I am gonna have to say that Ben Way is the best player in District five from what i have seen. I think he is a heck of an all around player and has one of the best outside shots i have seen in a while. He can dunk, rebound, shoot, pass, just abour everything very well. I dont however know how good he would be in college ball, though. College is totally different for basketball. I think he should however go for track in college since he was 5th in states last year and should be even higher this year.

P.J. Hixon is leading Southern Fulton to another Sideling Hill League championship . . . high scorer, the best defender, the best ball handler, most importantly he knows the value of team play and is leading by example like a team captain should.
One difference that sets P.J. apart from the other names on this list is attitude . . . if you've seen many games in district 5, you know what I'm talking about. When you are talking about the best player in the area, give me the one that quietly goes about the business of winning while encouraging his teammates - not the one(s) that thump their chest, argue with refs and teammates, carry on with their buddies in the stands, etc.

well if u wanna talk about a player that is selfless, and quiet about the business of winning, u had better be talking about Ben Way instead of Hixon...when the game is on the line, he wants the ball...and we know who to give it to, because he commands that kind of respect...but he doesnt command it verbally, we just understand it...its a given fact among bball players from ridge...we stick together, and he is, for the most part, the reason we have each others backs, and he doesnt do it by yelling or goofing off either

Hixon's ''attitude'' got him a technical foul in the CR @ SF game, which pretty much drove the proverbial nail into the Indians' coffin in that game.

I think Junior one of the best ones has to be Brad Divel of Southern Fulton. But Senior is Probably Ben Way or Jeff Berky

I agree. Divel is a real good player and can do a variety of things well.
