Right now Meyersdale has the best time in the District. I think Meyersdale, Bedford, and McConellsburg will be competing for the relay at Districts. Ridge is out of winning the relay, but could get third with a really good day.
However, in the 200, 400, and 800, Ridge has some really competitive runners, and they could win those events.

ridge could contend in the 4x800 but i see them concentrating on like you said the 200m-800m i don't think they want to burn out logan and obie at districts and want to see them go to states!

flea, just wondering how you think Ridge is out of winning the district in the relay. They have the third best time in the district. It will be a dog fight if all the A team guys run. Not a garanteed victory by any means but shouldnt be counted out before the meet it even run.

Well Coach, the best time I've seen from Ridge thus far is in the 8:50s, and I think it's high 8:50s. Admittedly, nobody is really out of competition, as I remember my freshman or sophomore year Conemaugh Township won districts with an 8:38 after being seeded with a 9:10. However, in all likelihood, it's not going to happen. To be the third seeded time at current, Ridge would have to run low 8:40s to high 8:30s. With three to four teams in the district below 8:50, and last I heard, Ridge isn't, I honestly don't think they're in it. Unless, of course, they pull a Township on everybody. But they would probably be better served by concentrating on getting Showalter and Gordon to states.

i agree they are going to try to get logan and jerod to states but they could do that in the relay for logan anyways! but i do see them just concentrating on the open 800m for him but i'll be rooting for him i was 1 place in front of him last year at districts in the 800m and so i will be there to see that he is not 1 place behind the winner but the winner himself!!!

Ridges best is an 8:42. Dont know why they havent been listed in the honor roll yet. Probably just an oversite. Does that change your thoughts Ben? Still have to perform on that day though. It should be a great race to watch.

Well Parks, since you were there and witnessed it, or at least Coach I was, then Ridge should have a shot at the 3200 relay if they ran an 8:42. That would make them the third seed, behind Meyersdale (by 4 seconds) and McConnellsburg (by 1 second). That would put them right in the mix of things. I hadn't realized that Ridge ran an 8:42 recently, but hardly anybody bothers to post the scores. I was just going by the top3 times in the District thread.
Hey Parks, since you're around, if you're not feeling too lazy, could you put some of the scores up for me? Coming from Ridge, I'm very interested in following how the track team does. It's very difficult from 400 miles away.

What scores you looking for? Meet scores? I usually am too lazy (busy actually but lazy sounds more realistic!) Ill see what i can do. We scored 104 on BG running people where they dont normally run. It was a fun meet but still got a little ugly. Only one dual left against Everett and Tussey next Tues.
