You're So Vain
Re: You're So Vain
Always wondered about Paul Simon. Carrie Fisher sure left him in a hurry. And she didn't even need 50 ways to leave him either.

I know this is off-topic, but I'd love you even more if you had a tattoo of a toothbrush.
Get jiggy with it, dude.

Carrie Fisher left Paul Simon in a hurry, but he has been married to Edie Brickell since 92. His first marriage lasted 5 years as well. As for the topic, I'd still guess Warren Beatty. It was certainly in Carly Simon's best interest to keep people guessing.

Re: You're So Vain
You want a song that brings up a big question? How about "I Shot the Sheriff" by Eric Clapton. Lyrics go "I shot the sheriff, but I did not shoot the deputy". Well then who did???? My theory is that they were both shot by the same bullet. The bullet first penetrated the sheriff in the back of the neck, exiting from the front of his neck. It did some somersaults, flew up in the air, kept it's momentum and hit the deputy in the left shoulder, exiting from the front of his chest and piercing his wrist. The odd thing is, is that when they found the bullet it was in pristine condition. Unprecidented, I call it the Magic Bullet Theory.

"Sheriff" was originally done by Bob Marley and the Wailers, the reggae style band.

How about this mystery from "It's My Party". "Nobody knows where my Johnny has gone. But Judy left the same time". Where'd they go, huh?

You better be crying, girl. Not because your boyfriend bagged some other broad, but because you're too stupid to put 1 and 1 together. Hey, what do I know? Maybe he had to get something from his locker, and Judy just needed to use the restroom. Maybe he just bought her coke because she lost her purse. Maybe he took her to a romantic cabin and had crazy amounts of unprotected, filthy, immoral sex with her in her "other place" and she loved every second of it. That Johnny will get you every time. He's a sneaky one. Just ask Pale Rider.
