As of today, Pitt has 17 commitments from this year's high school senior class for next year, 14 from Pennsylvania. By getting early commitments, Pitt is getting people they really want. You don't offer early just to get bodies. There will be plenty of bodies out there in February.

Just read this today on the game notes for the USF game at gopsusports.com...
Penn State is third in Big Ten wins since they joined the Big Ten behind only Michigan and Ohio State.
They also have the most undefeated seasons in the nation in the last 40 or so years (since 1966). They have 7 compared to Miami's 6.
They are fourth in the nation in wins since 1950, behind only Oklahoma, Ohio State, and Nebraska.
