I would like to see that as well, but i dont see them doing that. I think they feel they have a #1 in Duke or Perez and that their young players are ready to step up and fill out their roster. They have worked trades/drafts for years to develp pitchers. I agree they haven't produced (at least yet) and its tough to say who will. That is why i feel they need to also get a new pitching coach as much of their young talent seems to fade away. Perez also has to work fall/winter leagues to build his arm back up. They told him not to pitch last winter to "save his arm" but i think that is where a lot of his velocity went. His arm wasnt in the shape it normally was. But it all does come down to hiring a manager that shows you are ready to win and be serious about getting back into contention.
