and a big 0-18-1 vs. Bedford...

Ridge is just like Bedford, every 4 or 5 years, Bedford has an undefeated team, and the other years, they're still over .500 in a tough LHAC. Ridge doesn't belong in the ICC based on size alone.

Based on size alone, this would be an interesting 8-team, District 5/6, AA only conference (boys in grades 9-11 in parentheses)

Central Cambria (270)
Chestnut Ridge (268)
Bedford (260)
Penn Cambria (255)
Central Mrtnsbrg (252)
Westmont (234)
Everett (214)
Bishop McCort (211)

How do you think Chestnut Ridge would do in this hypothetical conference where they are the second largest school?

One of those is Windber! A 6-1 all-time record. The only team to have played Windber in the regular season more than five years to have a winning record against the Ramblers.

You can live in fantasy land all you want Jolly Green. Reality is that the LHAC will be two teams light next year at least. I see Central, Richland, and Heights all leaving the LHAC in the next two years.

Seriously Jolly Green the only teams on that list that we would have trouble competing(not necssary beating) against year in and year out would be McCort and Bedford. You forgot FH at 303 I think.

Any AA section would be based of geography. With Ridge, Bedford, and Central in and Eastern Section with Everett, Tyrone, Penns Valley, BEA, and PO. The western section would be FH, WH, McCort, PC, CC, CH, Marion Center and Purchase Line. I have been in favor of this kind of set up for 10 years now and I hope it soon happens!

If those three leave who is likely to join? If I am correct they would need at least one team for a full season of football games. Imagine how tough it could get if those teams do leave! Every other time that teams have left with the exception of central better teams have been added. Anyone think Tyrone or Bellwood would be looking to join?

Classification based conferences work great for A and AA, but Johnstown and Somerset would either enter into a conference with Bellefonte, Central Mountain, Huntingdon, Indian Valley, Lewistown, and (probably) Hollidaysburg, or go to the WPIAL. That is a LOT of long-distance travel.

I am also in favor of a system where AA plays AA, A vs A...and so on.

Why would Richland leave the LHAC? Football is not the only sport we are talking about here fella's. Richland girls athletics are always in the top of the LHAC, their baseball team won the LHAC crown last year, and so on.

Same goes for Central. I believe their baseball team has won it already and is very competitive every year. So just leave because of football. That is not fair to the other sports.

CH would be the only sport that I would see leaving. They get blasted in every sport, in every season.

I love the soccer mentality society presents these days. If you can't hack it, give up and go find people who also can't hack it so you can beat up on each other and feel good about yourselves.

What ever happened to dedication and working hard to compete.

It seems to me that aspect of life is slipping away.

Oh and Southpaw...Why doesn't Ridge belong in the ICC...BECAUSE THEY ARE TWICE THE SIZE OF THE OTHER SCHOOLS THEY PLAY!
