Re: Penn Cambria @ Bedford
Just did a visit to piaa.org and did some number crunching....A male enrollment of 324 boys puts a school into AAA, Bedford has 260 (grades 9,10,11 boys in fall of 2004...Hyndman has 62...Total is 322, just under the cutoff, it may be better to play AAA alot of years though.

Just so you know PC doesnt play McCort this year in the Reg season. We scrimaged them earlier.
Also, not to take anything away from carrol, but i believe they have had the easiest schedule so far, CH, Central M. and Richland in the first three weeks.
No comment as of now on the game... ill wait to tell the tale on friday. But i will say it should b interesting.

Yes. We want to AVOID all those tough AAA schools in District 6, that's why we alter our enrollment. We'd rather play all those AA weaklings in the playoffs year in and year out, such as McCort, Tyrone, Bedford, Central Cambria, you know.

Re: Penn Cambria @ Bedford
If all Forest Hills wanted to do was win District 6 AAA championships, they could go to AAA and be one of the favorites every year. Penn Cambria did that up until about 3 years ago. However, they would then get their clock cleaned by WPIAL AAA schools. During their really good years, Forset Hills has a chance to beat WPIAL AA schools, and advance deeper into the playoffs.
By the way Username6, last year's Somerset team (under Fetzer) was 2-0 (wins over Central & PC) when they met McCort in Week 3. Unless I was living in a parallel universe, McCort won that game, making the Eagles 2-1 after 3 weeks. PC's current 3-0 mark with wins over Somerset, Johnstown, and Central Cambria is much more impressive.

If you don't know where you're going, you'll probably end up somewhere else.

I don't know about impressive victories there Jolly Green.
All three of those teams will finish in the bottom half of the conference. How is that impressive?
I will agree with you that this PC team is better then Fetzer's Somerset team last year.
The Devils and Trojan's however are very average this year. Just because you beat the name of the school doesn't mean it was impressive.
Now chalk up a win against Bedford and that will be impressive.

Re: Penn Cambria @ Bedford
Both Johnstown and Central Cambria are solid, physical teams who are capable of winning 5 or 6 games. I consider those wins impressive IN COMPARISON TO the wins that Somerset had in the first two games last year.
That does not mean that I think PC is ready to challenge for the LHAC crown. I merely think that the comparison of these two teams is ludicrous.
