I'm sure I've mentioned liking Moss on this site a lot. You can rip on me or whatever. It's not like I'm going from a loser to a champion. The Raiders have a lot of work that needs to be done. First, they need a Texas QB instead of a PSU QB. Hahaha.

The Steelers did give up 200 yards to Anthony Wright, they also gave up 227 to Carson Palmer the week before. The thing is, they forced 2 INT's in both of the WINS. Palmer didn't have a TD pass. Wright had one by virtue of a run and catch by a dump off to his RB.
The Steelers D has been a bend but don't break D this year. And that was evident by the 5 fieldgoal opportunities the Ravens were forced to attempt(4-5 were made, one hit the upright) last night.
The important part is they are 5-2 this year and .5 games out of first place in the AFC North. They will draw to a tie this weekend after beating the Pack. The Bungles have a bye week.
Moss fan. Raiders = 3-4. Good try, though. Culpepper isn't near as good without Moss. He had his great season with 6 TD's and 12 INT's. It's impossible to like a team that trades away their best player and their future. They should go on a few more cruises. I agree. I know I don't care.
Here's a few posts from last year that are interesting. I will say this that he did mention Moss a lot in some of his posts as being great, but I didn't find one post that said the only reason he like Minnesota was because of Moss.
Enjoy your reading (remember, these are from last year).

I like the Vikings. They are 3-1, and I'm sure you don't know that since you don't seem to know much about the NFL. Try and compare BIG BEN'S STATS TO DAUNTE'S. WE'LL SEE WHERE BIG BEN STANDS WITH HIM. Come on 7-4? That's just a dream. He's not that good yet. Someday he will. Rookie mistakes will cost him and the Steelers. Just wait and see Ham. He hasn't beat anyone yet, and won't do it this year.

Yeah, you can't compare those teams. Just like you can't compare the Giants to the Steelers. They are two totally different teams, and the Steelers haven't played the Giants. In fact, i'm still waiting for the records of the teams the Steelers have beat so far. Of course, nbbaseballwg couldn't come up with those. Because he knows that's my proof to what i'm saying. Also, Ham the Vikings are a lot better team than the Steelers. Who had the better record last year? Yeah, and Vikings should've been in the playoffs and didn't make it. This year will be a totally different story. You'll see. But yet you'll still be like BIG BEN is the best. Daunte sucks? Come on get real.

Austin is correct. Thank you for clarifying that for them since they couldn't understand it when I said it. I'm sorry I just don't believe that the Steelers will make it to the playoffs and that Roethlisberger hasn't proved himself yet. The teams he has beaten are a combined 5-14. Also, in no way was I trying to compare Culpepper and Roethlisberger. I was just stating who my favorite team was, and saying that ham couldn't say how much better Roethlisberger was than my favorite team's QB.

Sorry, I haven't been on to talk about Big Ben lately. I was too busy celebrating the Vikings Sunday night win. Very Happy I did catch most of the Steelers vs. Cowboys game. I will give Ben some credit. He was definitely impressive. I just don't think he'll live up to all the hype in the end. I guess we'll see how good he really is in their next two games. If he wins one of the two, I'll agree I was wrong. If he loses both, the hype will be a little too great for right now.
Here's a quote from me.

Hey deliverance - what do you think of Big Ben now? I'm sold - this kid is good.
I guess he'll have to beat Philly next week and win the rest of the games this year before deliverance will admit he was wrong about the guy.
endquote - btw, he did win the rest of his regular season games and I don't believe deliverance ever once admitted he was wrong about Ben.

Hahahaha get real Ham. The Steelers wouldn't stand a chance against the Vikes. Moss didn't play much this week. He's the playmaker on the team, so it doesn't surpise me they lost. Get over it that the Vikings have a better team no matter what you say. We will see when it comes playoff time.

Sad to say it was the Minnesota Vikings. Crying or Very sad

WOW! Burned at the stake again infront of everybody. MY FAVORITE TEAM! Not, "My favorite player ever who happens to be playing for the Minnesota Vikings"!
I should have taken the bet, you're dang right about that.

LOL. Anyways, I thought the Ravens rose to the occasion as they always do, and interestingly enough, their kicker, Matt Stover, now has the longest successful field goal at Heinz Field with the 49 yarder he kicked last night. I think 6 differe nt times in the history of the field a 50 yarder was attempted, but nobody has made it through.
There is some good news if Big Ben is out. The Steelers are going to Lambeau Field next Sunday, and will be taking on Brett Farve and the Packers. The Packers have dropped to 1-6 (or is it 1-7) and they are not going to pose much of a challenge, even if Pittsburgh ends up with Charlie Batch as the starter. That's right, after the Jacksonville game, Tommy Maddox is now third string. So even if Big Ben is out, Pittsburgh should still win. However, it does worry me a bit if he would be out.

They played poorly last night....
BUT
They won.
Try not to base things on one game situations. It is key in the playoffs and in college football (that is the one thing I HATE about CFB), but in the NFL regular season it isn't important. They played a team that knows them well and didn't smash them into the ground. It was one of those games where they couldn't get into a rhythm offensively. The reason why Wright threw all over the place was because the Steelers kept blitzing and couldn't get any pressure. The most pressure came when they rushed 4 and the DBs just covered. I think that is what happened on the sacks they got if I remember correctly. The Ravens did a GREAT job protecting the QB. Ogden shut down Porter and none of the blitzing DBs could get to him. Polamalu and company didn't come close...
Also...Parker ran for 4.5 a clip last night...I wish he would have had 10 more runs and Ben would have had 10 less throws. Just not a typical Steelers W.

W's are all that matter. The Steelers have shown once again that they can come out and play terrible and still find a way to win the game. Winning ugly is still winning here ladies and gentlemen. That's all that matters.

I totally agree. I never said that the Steelers suck or anything to that matter. I think the Steelers are probably the 2nd best team next to the Colts. Also, you can go back and read all my posts that you want. Are you going to say I jumped on the Raiders bandwagon? I don't think so. You guys don't know me. Anyone that knows me knows that Moss has always been my favorite player. He always has been. Do you remember back in 1998 when they played the Falcons for the division championship and lost on Gary Anderson's only missed field goal of the year. Yeah, we'll see how many of you real fans can remember exactly what happened in a game 7 years ago. Flea, doesn't even know PSU's schedule. Enough said once again.

I inadvertantly added ONE game, but I do know PSU's schedule. I just mainly keep track of them. I'm not really a die hard PSU fan like some of the people on here, but I am nonetheless a fan. Just like deliverence isn't a die hard Texas fan, and in fact, most of us on here think he jumped on the Texas bandwagon after they beat Ohio State and Pitt was stinking up the place.
Anyways, as far as the Steelers go, Roethlisberger is out for next week's game at Green Bay, and possibly for the following week against Cleveland. Big Ben just had arthroscopic knee surgery, and that is normally about a two week recovery time, though he could possibly be ready in one week. Charlie Batch will be starting in his place against the Packers.

The surgery couldn't have come at a better time for the Steelers. These are two teams that the Steelers could beat with Brett Basanez at QB. I'd take Kyler Ford over Tommy Maddox at this point, just so you know. The Pack are 1-6 and the Browns LOST TO THE TEXANS.
