Keep making fun of him. He's a proven winner. Your boy is a loser no matter where he's at. Pitt will be no different.

You know who isn't coy? Woody. I love it!!!
Yall know I'm fixin to hate on Pitt (how's that for 4 years in Texas?) but listen to what I'm saying. They are still a PA team. Yes they are fun to watch lose to Ohio and Utah and Rutgers, but I'd rather see Pitt do well than Notre Dame or Georgia or WVU or Ohio State (whom I recently discovered I have a thorough hatred for). Pitt had a very good early recruiting season but that has completely died off once Wannstedt showed his true colors. Hopefully for Pitt those kids will stay committed. The problems with that program are not the administration or the players or resigned to just the head coach. Preperation is killing them, and the coordinators are killing them. The top 3 coaches are clueless over there, and the DC has no concept of in-game adjustments. We have seen now with two seperate head coaches that Pitt is succeptible to an offense that finds one good play and is allowed to continue running that same play with incredible success. If it bleeds over from one head coach to the next, it is not Walt Harris's fault. This is common sense. If I am a Penn State fan and I am watching your games and scratching MY head, I can't even imagine what you dudez are thinking while watching this program eat itself up. There are many signs that you are headed in the wrong direction, and one of the main ones is the fact that the one-play succeptibility has transferred over from a QB-oriented head coach over to a DEFENSIVE oriented head coach. There is simply no excuse. You can argue on BC that the Pitt players were in position and couldn't get to the spots on time on defense, but that is complete BS and we all know it. Walt Harris went to numerous bowl games in a row and your recruiting was never so weak that you Pitt homers can hide behind that and say "the players aren't recruited yet that can make the plays". That's BS if I ever heard it. There is no excuse for poor preperation! It's COACHING that has hampered Pitt in the past, and will always hamper them until they fire those two idiot coordinators. The offense is luckily Tyler Palko is running that team. If you had someone back there that was a little less intelligent than Palko, you wouldn't have won a game. His elusiveness and leadership is why Pitt won 5 games. That's my story, that's my observations over numerous seasons, and I'm sticking to it.

Excellent observations. The game against WVU was an excellent case. WVU could have beaten Pitt and not thrown a forward pass.

Seriously. If you were a young recruit, and watched Paterno on TV last night, would you really and truely want to be part of one of his teams as he sinks slowly in the west?
