Remember PSU WR Derek Williams was out and PSU uses him a lot in the backfield that would have been a huge speed upgrade.

I see that Paul Cronin, who was dismissed from the team earlier this season for public drunkeness, played in the Orange Bowl. There's another REAL statement from JoePa.

Just got back from Miami around 6 this morning, that's one hell of a drive, but a lot shorter when PSU pulls off one of the greatest wins in one of the biggest games in their history.
The offense, aside from the 2nd drive of the game, didn't perform the way they had in the previous 11 games. But when PSU needed to put drives together, M-Rob got the job done. Scott looked like a man possessed in the first quarter. He had 55 of his 110 yards on the first drive. HE should have been the player of the game with that yardage and the 2 touchdowns(one in the 2nd OT).
After the game, I don't know if Frostlion or Goodwill were down far enough toward the endzone, when the players such as Hali and Robinson came over and celebrated with the fans, it was unreal. I was about 20 rows from the field and got right down to it after the game was over. Players dancing, yelling thanks, and throwing Oranges into the crowd, what a HELL of a time.
Did any of you guys go to the Beach Bash on Monday or the Miller Lite Tailgate Party on gameday? Talk about onesided. The PSU fans outnumbered the FSU fans 10-1 at those events, easily. The Beach Bash was incredible. O.J. McDuffy and Kijana Carter were there from the old PSU teams and really got the crowd going. I'd try to explain it, but you'd have to be there to experience it. Corona and Miller Lite, what great sponsers.

Penn State played a very ugly game. It was good they didn't have to play a higher ranked team or it could've been ugly. As in a post earlier where I read that they considered this one of the best games ever, it was more like one of the worst BCS games ever. Neither team did much of anything all game. Michael Robinson showed his true ability. PSU can just be glad they played the #22 team in the nation.

From my seats I watched that whole scene unfold when Hali, et al, went to the student section. Boy you guys were loud. Everytime the tribe started up their chant it was quickly drounded out by "WE ARE.."
I was at the Miller Lite Party on Gameday and Ham is absolutely correct. At least 10-1. Even the Miami Herald suggested the crowd, atmosphere, etc, made it like a PSU home game:

Hey. It's a known fact the PSU people have alot of money. Heck, even one of their players gives $100 tips at restaurants.

One additional thing: perhaps the best moment not in the game was during pre-game when (I think in number) 50 or so people took the oath and became members of the Army. The crowd went nuts and gave them a great standing ovation. Some sections were chanting "USA USA..."

I was sitting in the 400 level on the 40 yd line behind the FSU bench. Overall the experience was one I will do again in the future unless Moldy and/or Hollywood keep telling me Pitt and WVU are better. How bout the weather during the day and evening for the game.... great day and great fun. Hell I may have seen you guys at the gameday tailgate.
Hey Moldy---a few Penn State players gave me a couple of Ben Franklin's for being there!!! Holla if ya hear me
