I agree that El can be replaced. He IS NOT a #2 WR in the NFL. His production won't get any better in Washington.

MRob would be a nice fit for the Steelers and replace what they lost in El. Regardless the Steelers need to find a true deep threat opposite of Ward. Maybe in a few years Fred Gibson will be the answer, but he needs a few more years to develop.

I can't blame el at all. He has his ring and now needs the $$. There would be no better opportunity for him then cashing after the Super Bowl. It's also great because I like to laugh at the Redskins when they still can't produce with the $ they throw around.

I think the steelers straight out cut Fred Gibson and he is no longer in thier plans, also they do have Rod Rutherford on thier practice squad he is comparable to mike robinson

Your right D-nice, I thought he was still on there. I don't think Rutherford is quite the caliber of athlete that can fill that position...

Regardless, the Steelers are in desperate need of:
1) Wide Receiver
2) Safety
3) Running Back
4) Outside Linebacker

Why running back? Staley restructered his contract, he'll be there alone with Parker. I don't see the need for another one. Or at least not a #3 need anyway.

Parker isn't an every down back and Staley has played in less than 35% of the games the last two seasons. His durability is a HUGE ? for the Steelers.

Staley sat out most of the year this year, opting not to dress so that they could dress Jerome and let him get the bulk of the carries when they needed him. He knew it was his last year, so he gave up his spot and took on a lot of criticizism because of it. You'll see why they brought Duce to Pittsburgh in the upcoming season.

Staley isn't the answer, and Willie Parker isn't either. Parker goes down as soon as anyone touches him. For as limited as his carries were, that team is really going to miss Bettis both on the field and in the locker room.

As for Randle-El, he went after the money and that's fine, but his career is over. He won't do anything with Washington, and I kinda think he's a really bad pick up for them as a #2. Pittsburgh should not have any trouble finding a serviceable #2 to replace him, but the thing about Randle-El in Pittsbugh was that you had Ward and him and both can throw passes. That just makes the defense more tense, which is obviously a good thing. But this draft is very low on serviceable receivers, so I doubt they'll be able to find a guy in the draft who is comparable. As for Rutherford, he's not fast enough. Robinson would be nice but I doubt he can get it done either in that setting. Shockley I also disagree with, and I am 100% disagreeing on Brad Smith.

There's a lot of guys that can throw a pass now and again. You don't need another stud black QB to replace Randle-El.

I really dont know what Pittsburgh is going after in this draft, but if Maroney is on the board that late they better grab him, cause Willie Parker is not good enough to carry that team's RB load.
