The following have earned partial athletic scholarships to play D1 baseball...Both are from Shaler Area HS out of the WPIAL...
Tom Carter, SS/2B...Cleveland State University
Tom Neiman, 2B/OF...Radford University
That makes an even 100 Shaler Area baseball players who have gone on to play Division 1 college baseball since the inception of the district in 1972 (34 years)...That's an average of about 3 D1 players per year!
