Per a WVU fan posting on pantherlair.com, he estimated the WVU attendance to be between 10,000 and 15,000.
Short memory for Hollywood. Pitt beat WVU at Heinz in 2004.

Slaton is the fastest running back at hitting the hole I have ever seen when watching a game live. Yopu had to be there in person to just see how fast he was. He was unreal. He outran Tommy Campbell twice and Campbell is a 4.4 40yd/10.4 100m guy. Slaton's better than Curt Warner, Kevin Jones, or Curtis Martin. He reminds me a lot of Dorsett.
White is also so fast and quick at hitting the hole. He'll never be an NFL QB because of his awkward throwing motion and lack of accuracy, but has great potential as a WR or return man.
I'll give WVU's offense their due, they were superb. Their defense is nothing to write home about and their DBs are mediocre at best. Pitt could've scored at will (they did in the 1st half), particularly if they had a running game. WVU knew Pitt couldn't run the ball in the 2nd half an just teed off on Palko.
Rutgers vs. WVU for the BE Title promises to be an excellent game. If PItt plays as inspired as they did in the 1st half vs. WVU, they have a reasonable shot at beating Louisville and handing the Hoopies the BE title.

Maybe you didn't have to read to get into WVU, but in one of my previous posts on this thread, a WVU fan estimated that there were 10,000 to 15,000 Mountaineer fans at Heinz Field this year.

Dissention, dissention.
Let's get back to reality for a minute. Has Dave Wannstedt, or has he not, put together strong recruiting classes for Pitt? Already we are starting to see that fans are a little upset with Wanny. WHY? To be perfectly honest, what has Dave Wannstedt done to deserve criticism? The only thing Wanny did was let Paul Rhodes stick around. And Cavanaugh needs fired as well. We all saw Wanny scream into Lil Matty's face during the Rutgers game: "WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING?" I loved it. This might be exactly what Pitt needed; a season like this. Because now they might fire those idiot coordinators. It is disgusting to see teams repeat the exact same mistakes every time they take the field. Somebody is at fault for that nonsense, and some of you are starting to become smart enough to see it. I am looking for Pitt to make a dual coordinator change for 2007. I dont know who they're gonna pursue, but I cannot imagine you'll see those two boneheads ever again. Pitt is NOT a prestigious enough program to lose games like that consistently and still make headway. They need to hurry up and make changes before Wanny's new hiring loses its luster in the recruiting ranks. No kid wants to play for a team that totally sucks.
