Secondly, SF now lost last night to Ridge by 5 at home. Big hole for the Indians to climb out of, losing two key home games early in the season. The league title will be decided between Tussey, Ridge, SF, and Everett. Already down 0-2 against those teams with both games being at home it might be time to take SF name out of the title hunt. On the bright side for So. Fulton I would not be surprised to see a team lose in the league four times and still win but they are going to have to play pretty much perfect basketball the rest of the way and win some big road games.

Don't count on Southern Fulton winning S.H.L. Ifert is out for the season. Size is now a problem for them.

Ridge looks fairly promising right now. Winning last night, and their big win over Fannet Metal are good signs so far.

Everett barely squeeked by Fannet last night, so I'm not quite sure about them yet, but they play Southern Fulton this Friday @ Everett.

Tussey is in a good position to win S.H.L. so far, but it's a long season.

abpk2903: I look forward to reading your blogs. I like your insight. I'm not so sure it's over quite yet though; however, Southern is in a bad spot right now. If they lose Friday I would say stick a fork in them as far as winning S.H.L. is concerned. Districts playoffs however are never out of reach.

I have to stick to previous blogs: I called Everett a month ago, so I'll stick with them winning S.H.L.

Everett and Ridge I have seen play and they are both good squad's. Everett beat ridge by 1 point on in the Thomas Tourny final. They could play 10 times and they would each win 5. So with the hole So. Fulton is in with Ifert injured I can't pick them. So it is down to Eve., CR, TM.

Eve.- Great team that already beat Ridge. They will win the games they are supposed to. Will not beat Tussey or Ridge on the road so there is 2 losses already.

Ridge-Best athletes of all teams. Lack coaching and unability to win key games (if history repeats itself).

Tussey-Unreal home court advantage. Best coach of the three teams as long as he coaches his kids and doesn't focus on the ref's. May have matchup problems with Ridge and Everett.

Wow, it is wide open but my gut tells me Tussey will hang another Sideling Hill Champion Banner in their gym.

Never mind I see now they play Eve.. SF is another team Eve. can't beat twice so there is their 3rd loss.

SF is in trouble right now. They lost two big league games at home. Its really hard losing at home because its really hard to beat Tussey on their court and the past couple of years, SF hasn't done the best at CR. Im not saying that SF is out of the hunt for the SHL, but they are gonna have to start playing some real good basketball. SF needs to get on the right track this Friday night at Everett. SF can not afford to lose this game. If they do, I say that they are out of the SHL hunt. It would be great to see SF win there fourth straight SHL, but im not sure this year its gonna happen. Even if they do not win the SHL, I still pick them as District 5 champs.

Ridge won at Southern Fulton last year as well. SF was swept by ridge last year.

p.s. my district V money is on somerset county. i have a feeling that the champ won't be from fulton or bedford counties.

Although I don't have a lot of money, I'd bet what I do have on Tussey Mountain to win the SHL Title. SF, E, and CR will all have great seasons as well. Everett has a solid team, when everyone is healthy, not to mention good coaching. They'll be in the hunt. I look for CR to finish 3rd and SF to finish 4th, again all with solid records. As for SF winning the Districts, I'd say that is their main goal anyway, the post season is what it's all about.

P.S. it's good to see the level of competition improving in the SHL, it will obviously prepare teams for a post season run.
