Westmont took this heavyweight match, I forget what the final was. Westy built a 20 point lead just to watch it dwindle to a two point lead on three-pointers practically everytime up the court. They won by six or eight, somewhere around that. Balog seemed to struggle a bit.

Far be it for me to judge a high school kid based on one game. Fourteen points is struggling by HIS standards, I suppose

Was at the Westy vs. JHS game on Wed. Night. The game lived up to its billing in the 4th quarter. Westy builds a huge lead on some outstanding shooting and team play in the first quarter. 2nd and 3rd quarter...a little bit sloppy. 4th quarter JHS mounts comeback but Westy wins it by hitting foul shots down the stretch. Balog came out on fire, but looked worn out by the end of the game. Maybe because JHS made him work hard for every shot, or maybe he was under the weather. Either way, the kid can shoot. My MVP of the game though may have to go to Young...No not Meech Young, but David Young of Westmont. He controlled the boards against a physical JHS team and didnt allow many second shots. It seemed that in the 4th quarter he got every rebound for the Hilltoppers. Can't wait for the rematch up at the Doc. Should be a good one.

Great high school basketball game! Westmont played great team basketball and pulled out the win at home. I have heard that Balog was somewhat under the weather playing with the flu, but still made key free throws down the stretch! Stevenson also did some damage from behind the three point line and Young(westmont) controlled the glass grabbing 14 rebounds. Still give credit to the Trojans for hitting 11 3-pointers throughout the game, they were virtually unstoppable from 3 in the 4th quarter, but westmont dug deep and found a way to win. Should be another great matchup down at Johnstown later in the season!

Saw the game last night. First time I have seen westmont and they are very quick defensively. The Balog kid played well in spurts but need to pass the ball when he has three guys on him. The point guard for westmont controlled the flow and caused damage when he went to the hoop. Could have shot more when he was open. That Young kid got rebounds over the bigger Johnstown kids. A good game to watch.

Didnt expect to see Johnstown have more 3's then Westmont

A few observations on the game last night:

Johnstown is not a good team.

Westmont is not as good as advertised, but as a team, they are more talented than Johnstown.

Johnstown has two players, Young and Weatherly. Everyone else should just get out of the way.

Johnstown apparently does not know how to protect the ball. The amount of turnovers are mind-boggling. They are extremely careless with the ball.

I was waiting for this Balog kid that everyone was talking about to show up, and he never did. Except for the free throws down the stretch. However, I did see him miss some peeps and throw up an airball.

Westmont won because of the play of their Young.

I'm so sick and tired of seeing grown-ups act like babies yelling at refs. No matter what is called, you have a few idiots acting like morons. It's never just one teams fans either. They all have their fair share of morons.

It was very annoying listening to the two student sections yell back and forth.

The Westmont announcer sounds like an idiot when he says, "2 for 2" when someone makes both free throws.

The one student from Johnstown had no business having his shirt off.

The Westmont Zoo? Are you kidding me?

Westmont may have the most M.I.L.F.S in the LHAC.

I saw more clevage from Westmont students last night than I did at my last visit to Truck Stop 22.
