Ditto.... any kids organizing activities for fun/something to do is nothing but a positive.

Most kids nowadays can't relate to the # of pick up Baseball games most of us 'older heads' had back in the day. I mean it was not unusual to play games till dark on whatever fields, lots, courts were available.

Likewise w/ Hoops, one used to learn/get schooled on the playground courts in the summer. Grade schoolers got better playing vs High schoolers, HS kids got better playing vs college kids & so on. I noticed a lot of seriously bad BBall teams this winter & feel that kids shying away from hoops in the late Spring & throughout the summer is a main factor. Have seen a lot of good athletes that are flat out not very good in BBall 'cause they haven't honed their skills on the outdoor courts!!

the southmont sombreros is just a huge joke. i dont think those kids ever even play. they just got some tee-shirts to try and be cool, but then never actually play. now i did watch them play a real game once and they didnt even stand a chance. they were mercy ruled after the fourth inning and then they didnt bother to play again after that. they are an embarrassment to baseball.

you are obviously a member of the sombreros and you know that you guys have only ever played one game and got beat, badly. what does the word "next?" on the back of your tee-shirts mean? i want to know who was first? like i said ive only ever hear of you guys playing one game and got beat pretty bad. as a matter of fact, i heard it was against some little league all-start team. i mean if you ask me its pretty sad that you guys talk yourselves up to be this amazing team, and then go and lose to a bunch of little leaguers.

Crimson, to answer your question the Southmont Sombreros are a baseball team made up of about 15 people who are willing to play anyone on the planet in a pickup game of baseball, and despite what striker says they are unbeaten.

As far as the I.P.B.L. goes, there are only 8 rules

#1 You dont talk about the I.P.B.L.
#2 You do not talk about the I.P.B.L.
#3 If someone says stop, goes limp, even if he is just faking it, the game is over
#4 Only two teams to a game
#5 Only one game at a time
#6 Shoes and Shirts are optional when playing the game
#7 The games go on as long as they have to
#8 If this is your first time at the I.P.B.L., you have to play
