Rockwood has a very good team year in and year out and im sure that this year will be no different. For some reason I thought they were losing more seniors than what they are. I expect them to have a great year and probably win the district title.

On another note, I watched the Bedford vs. ridge scrimmage tonight. Although the field looked pretty muddy, Bedford seemed like they controlled the ball for the majority of the half. They were constantly in ridges end of the field. Several times they came very close to scoring and I'm sure several weeks into the season they will be making a majority of those shots. I would be very surprised if Bedford didnt make a run at the district title this year.

sportsfan.. you were there?? lol.. cool. i was there too... but i was the one taking the shots.

ridge... tons i can say on this issue.. but here's my take...

they have a great offense.. Coty hainsey is a great player, no matter what anybody says. he's not the caliber of Pete Bridges, but he's from ridge, so you have to give him a break. Ridge's style of soccer, isn't soccer. it's kickball. it works well because they have hainsey up top who is quick and can run onto the balls pretty well... as far as possession goes, there's none to speak of on the ridge team... from what my memory serves... i think they had one 4 pass combo on the night, and that was lucky... their defense is also pretty good, but could use some work. i'm not going to say how. ;) and the midfield, they don't have a midfield.

i think it's safe to say, that if there was a second half, we would have won. we out hustled them, and we were passing the ball around them and making them look silly. however, they did have their chances as well, but failed to capitalize... it's hard to tell where things will go from here for both teams... it's early in the season and anything can happen... best of luck to the ridge team. but, we're still going to beat you guys... ;0

it was in the 20s.... they played like a 4-5-1... so he had the ball most of the time to do with what he wanted.... Tim Miller had like 20 goals that year too... and Andrew Stiffler, and Luke Shimer, and.... hmmm... can't remember anybody else tho..... Pete was a ball hog a lot of the time tho.

Not to change the subject or anything but, who are all the starters for ridge this year. I heard they are all seniors and they have no juniors or sophomers that are comin up to continue the run. So i guess this is the last year for ridge to make a run.

the best person on the team is Coty Hainsey... if you can control him, your team's set.
