40% of the people in America DO NOT have a multi-millionaire son TO LIFT them out of their life's situation like Hali's mother does.

Along the same lines as the Crawford situation, take Antonio Gates for instance. Gates played basketball in college, until the scouts said his chances of making the NBA were slim due to his "inbetween" size. After he found out this information he went to a workout in front of NFL scouts (keep in mind that he had not played organized football in 4 years, sr. year of high school) and SD recognized his talent and now he is an elite player at his respective position. So the point that I am trying to get at is whose to say what talent someone has.

Carry it over to the hardwood:
I'm sure Michael Jordans HS coach feels pretty stupid for cutting him from the team after he went on to becomearguably the best basketball player.

Really I guess we will have to wait and see how Crawford turns out before we make our judegments, but one has to take risks to succeed.

So you would give the kid a full ride (when you only have a few to give out) because every once in a great while kids like this work out?

I realize you PSU haters need to hate on PSU, but why are you too ignorant to look at the history? What has Penn State done with 3-star players that they think are gems? Hunt, Scirrotto, Posluszny, etc. What in God's name has Tom Bradley EVER done to make you think he doesn't know what he's doing with recruiting?
