What I was saying was Troy is still better than alot of guys, BUT, he's a shell, compared to the extremely high level he was at 2 years ago. And by gone I didn't mean cut him. I meant he is still thought of very highly around the league, he could bring a truckload in return in the form of trade. Because I (my opinion) think we'll never see him return to that very high level he was at B4. And db is the one position the Steelers aren't thin at. Smith is a pro bowl type safety. The Steelers could get some depth along the lines(both sides) plus some draft picks. I'd love to see him return to wreaking havoc with opposing offenses and singlehandedly taking over a game. I just think with all the concussions and other injury issues it'll be awful hard to get back to that level of play.It's tough getting rid of a guy that high in character, but it's harder to get rid of a big contract when someone can't perform the way that was expected when that contract was offered and signed.
