CTIndian - I think Township was fortunate that the leading scorer in the WestPAC did not play tonite. Zellem makes a huge difference. I am sure Township played a tough game but Zellem makes North Star mighty tough. I also notice that you mentioned the poor officiating in the Township-Blacklick game at Township. I believe earlier you blamed the Coach not the officials.

64-60 doubler OT for Ferndale!..... after all the talk......Windber was up 6pts with about 2 mins left, Stumpo hits two 3's.Kid from Windber makes both free throws with 54 secs left. Ferndale turns ball over they foul again with 23 secs left. Windber misses both FT. Ferndale turn ball over again, and foul with 13 secs left. Winber misses both FT again.. Ferndale comes down misses jumper and Ian Havener puts the o-board back inn at the buzzer in the first OT to tie it. 2nd OT Taranto makes lay-up with 1:00 left and they foul and finish the game 60-64. Stump fouled out in the first OT and Gaunt fouled out in the end of the 4 th. Ferndale players stepped up when they needed to.

The CT Coach is horrible. He's taking a very promising team and turning them into a mediocre team. The team was down by 6 at the half, and he had a group of kids that brought them back to tie the score by the end of the 3rd quarter, and he benched some of them to play a 9th and 10th grader for most of the 4th quarter. They managed to get behind again, and then the coach decided it was time to play the kids who brought them back in the 3rd. Lesko's coaching is costing these kids a good season. Sure the officiating is bad, but his coaching is worse.

I have been trying to track it using the TribuneDemocrat and Altoona Mirror. Zellem is around 23 and Jimmy Lupek from Conemaugh Valley was at 22.1 but only had 7 the other night and Blacklick Valleys Taylor Holby was at 21.1 and had 14 last night.

Since statistics and math are important to this 'math mind' I just gotta ask for some help. You are pointing out the individual scoring leaders here, but can someone help me out with the TEAM who has scored the most points per game or who has the most points to date? I'm guessing that team is going to have one of the better records....look at CenCambria. You got that Miller kid shooting an average of 30+ points a night but their record is one I that I'm glad we aren't displaying.
There are some teams, such as NS and CV, shanksville (and well some others that just don't count) who's coaches don't provide statistical info to MaxPreps, so I can't say with certainty.
So guys, what can you tell me bout the team that's been scoring the most points?

Shanksville's basketball season 09 is disintegrating right before their fans eyes. You think CT needs a leader, Shanksville's in that same boat! Here's my motto, "If you can't have fun dribbling the balll, there ain't no point in playing the game!"
pittbball43 wrote:Shade killed Meyersdale and Berlin beat Shanksville. Those are the only games I know of. Maybe that will teach Windber fans to shut their mouths because they r horrible. Sounds like the North Star and Township game was good, but I just think that Township is lacking a leader and they need to find one soon before their season goes down the drain.

Doctor
Get on
http://www.piaad6.org and they list the average points scored and points allowed. Look under District 6 unofficial rankings.
In the WestPACthey list Conemaugh Valley 67.44, Blacklick Valley 66.25, North Star 66.4, Central Cambria 57.9, Bishop Carroll 76.0, Windber 39.5, Bishop McCort 56.67 to name a few.

Thanks much....so now for Shanksville...when I want them to WIN, they lose. I was caught off (point)ha!ha! guard --with that one.
Anyway, I'm not thinking they'll be too many games played 1/15 ...but for those that are, I'll certainly be posting my thoughts on those in the "W" side of things.

What happened to Luke Zellem from North Star? I see he has not been playing in the last few games.
