ElMoldo whatever,
How can you even begin to defend the FH fans. What they did was out of line and disrespectful. I am sure even the emperor is appalled by the fans. Then to say, the players shouldnt taunt them, is funny. The players are 16-17 year olds and the FH fans were grown men. The Trojans & Rangers played their hearts out and its sad, that the disrespectful fans is what people are talking about.

G.Simon wrote:i am amazed at your ignorance and idiocracy. they were calling us racial slurs at a high school football game. yes, we pointed at the scoreboard. yes they called us racial slurs. i provoked nothing. we provoked nothing. so it's okay for them to call us the n word, but it's not okay to for us to point at the scoreboard and not be disrespectful? we should be suspended? all i did was come on here to verify information that was passed onto here. do you expect us to be called things like that and not respond in some type of way? we showed no disrespect to anyone, while they were clearly disrespecting us. we pointed to the scoreboard, turned around, and played football. we won the game, fairly. i will not explain myself further to someone of your ignorance. good luck FH with the rest of their season.
Well said, nothing like a 17 year old kid talking more sense than a grown Bleacher Coach all-star

JD: You're sticking up for this kid? I didn't say I didn't believe him. But, like I said, by HIS actions in the game, he's no better than they are.

El-Moldo wrote:And YOU condoned your teams taunting of the FH fans by pointing at the scoreboard? You're just as bad as they are. Did you think pointing to the scoreboard wasn't going to INCITE ill feelings???? You just said that the pointing made them MORE MAD!!! YOU are part of the problem TOO. And you say you have respect for the FH players and coaches and then turn around and do this!!!! As a team leader, your job is to STOP this kind of thing. Ever hear of "Humble in victory, gracious in defeat". Obviously you haven't. I am disappointed in YOU. Guess the old "sticks and stones" doesn't apply anymore. If I was Penna, you guys would sit out a while next game. Seniors or not, YOU would be sitting.
Are you kidding? This is a joke right? A bunch of ignorant red-necks taunting high school kids, and it's the kids fault. What color is the sky in your world. I was standing near one of these die-hard Ranger fans, he reeked of alcohol, was slurring his words, and had an accent I didn't think existed above the Mason Dixon line. And I didn't mean to take anything away from FH in my earlier post. Johnstown was flat in the second half, anyone without green and gold colored glasses could see that. I only mentioned the penalties because there were a lot both ways. So many that the second half never ended.
Personally, I thought FH's #5 was the best player on the field. And I didn't see any taunting on the field, I saw lots of hand shakes and pats on the backs. A lot more class on the field, than in the stands.

Not approving of his actions at all, they'd tweak me off as a coach big time. But just saying the actions of the FH fans were much worse.

Simon: You see, what you did was just as bad as what they did. You tried fighting fire with fire. Instead of just walking away from the incident, you tried to AGGRAVATE the situation. You even said pointing to the scoreboard made them more mad. Maybe it was YOUR reaction to what was said that brought in the police. I'll bet the police weren't called in until you guys reacted. A couple of dirtbags make some comments and all you had to do was walk away. Like in football, the refs only see the second hit. They don't see what started it. But instead of continuing to play, YOU had to push things to the limit. So you taunt the fans, and look what it led to. JUST WALK AWAY. But no, you couldn't. So what did Penna have to say about the incident? Was he proud of how you reacted to the name calling? YOU INFLAMED the incident by how you handled the situation. And that, my friend, was sad.

elmoldo-you are unbelievable. all the boy did was go on here and verify that the incident did happen. you are more mad at a few players that just got called n-----s that pointed at a scoreboard then you are at grown men that should of never been down there saying anything to them let alone what they said. i think simon said it right when he refused to respond anymore. well said young man. i think they handled themselves very well. pointing to a scoreboard pushed things to the limit. jd-where do u coach? making comments on bleachercoaches does not make you a coach fyi. elmoldo-you are trying to put the blame on someone other than the people that was to blame. you obviously don't know simon.he is a class act like the others that were on that field. they didn't call names back or go towards the old men. the police were called because of the drunks screaming at teenage boys. you are clueless. let it go. you lost game. why in god's name would pena sit his boys out for pointing at a score board? and the real reason the jtown fans weren't cheering at the end of the game was because they were trying to get out of sidman without a noose around their necks. keep argueing with yourself el-moldo. good luck to jtown and forest hills in playoffs. the boys on the field were all class acts.

....Where is Simon right now? Got a question for him. Let's say it's New Year's Eve 5 years from now. It's 2am and he's walking with a lady friend back to his car. A guy, who has obviously been drinking alot, comes out of a bar and says something to him using the n word. Now Simon has 3 choices what to do next. He can 1) beat the $hit out of the guy, 2) confront him in some other fashion, or 3) considering the source, just walk away. Now think about this. Wouldn't it be better for all concerned to JUST WALK AWAY?
....The more I think about what happened the other night in the endzone, the more I'm blaming the Trojan players. Please consider what I have to say before jumping all over me. The Trojans have the ball inside their own 5 yard line. As sportsfan1000 would put it, a couple of "drunkin' aholes from a little podunk town" are hurling racial slurs at the Trojan players. Now, considering the example I just gave about New Year's Eve, what choices do the Trojan players have? Should they participate in some sort of confrontation with the drunkin fans (such as Simon mentioned with the pointing at the scoreboard), or should they huddle up and get ready for the next play? What purpose did it serve to AGGRAVATE the fans? If they would have just gone on with the next play, I guarantee you that the police are never called over to that endzone. No one is calling the police because fans are chirping at the players, racial slurs or not. It's not until the players get involved, that someone calls for game management. No one is condoning what those fans did. No excuse what-so-ever. BUT....the players played a huge part in what happened. A drunk is a drunk. But the players should have been disciplined enough to just move on with the next play. Case closed.

Simon said he's done replying so leave the boy alone already! plus, he has failed to mention one other thing.......the FH players were also in their huddle yelling to the fans and getting them excited while this was all going on. idk what the players were saying but I assure you that they were pumping up the drunken retards while the slurs were being yelled out. I am not saying they were encouraging the slurs because I'm sure those are good kids and they weren't, but they were encouraging the screaming in general towards the JHS players. the JHS players are not wrong for doing so, stop blaming them and start admitting that the FH fans were wrong already! if you ever actually stepped onto a football field as a player and were in the heat of the moment in a game like that then you know what it feels like. you have that adrenaline pumping through you and when you get angry it multiples it by 100. also, you and a lot of these poster aren't black. you don't know what it's like to be called something like that. it hurts!!! it leaves a scar on you forever, until you have any clue what the hell you are talking about or how those players felt out there on that field in sidman, SHUT YOUR MOUTH! you should be ashamed of yourself. whoever you are, "el-moldo", you need to take a good look in the mirror of yourself and grow up. I'm disgusted with you, I truly, truly am.
