You can just tell when it is a coach responding, it is post that is well written and put together, just like yours...it is just easy to figure out. Good luck to the Rams.

Wow, I just read the Tribune Democrat article in the paper on the Westmont-LV game. I don't think Ligonier's coach has a humble bone in his body. What a jerk.

Thoughts on Bishop Guilfoyle:

I greatly respect everything they've done to turn that into an absolute powerhouse of a program.  I like Coach Wheeler and the staff members I've met briefly.  They are obviously doing a tremendous job not just attracting talent to the school, but maximizing their potential and having them play as a team.

However, the playing field isn't quite fair. I understand the enrollment logic for classification, but it completely ignores the area in which private schools source their students.  

Ebensburg/Nanty Glo/Colver/Revloc/Vinco does not provide the same pool of talent to draw from as Altoona/Hollidaysburg/Tyrone, or Johnstown/Richland/Westmont/Ferndale, etc.  It's just not comparable, and that, in my opinion, should be a factor in determining which class these private schools are put into.

BG is actually playing weaker programs in the district playoffs than they do during the regular season, which doesn't make sense.  If they were not in this playoff bracket, it would be a really exciting bracket.

Again, hats off to the them, but it's not quite the way it should be when you consider the areas their student-athletes come from.

so can you please explain to me how prior to this run over the last 3 years, why was BG the cellar dweller of the LHAC when they arrived. How could they ever have a bad season?    With your logic, Bishop Canevin in Pittsburgh should be winning big every year, yet although they are a good team, they are not even close to beating Jeannette or Clariton.  Couldnt they just gobble up the Lamont Wades in Pittsburgh from such a vast talent pool?  And what about St Joes in State College, they were beat by a team with a 40 game losing streak this year, I guess that the talent pool there is really bad.   How was Mccort so bad the last two years and then all of the sudden they are looking at getting to the title game for AA?   With such poor area players to choose from how in the world did BC ever make 8 straight district title games.  Were their major industries in Nanty Glo that closed or goverment offices in Ebensburg that no longer exist?  
Alliquipa chooses to play out of class, and are very successful, is anyone in District 6 playing up a class?  
BG is blessed with a great group of kids, just like there have been groups at BC and at BM, this will change and someone else will be the strong team again.  

I was on my neighbors porch when Bm tried to get his boys to transfer.. BC got them...they went to the states semi finals that year. Do believe BC had a losing record the couple years prior.
