United’s problem is that they have 14 healthy players. He would make 15. So they still couldn’t conduct a full 11-on-11 practice and it still wouldn’t be practical or safe to send United out there to play Ligonier this weekend with him.

No dog in the fight at all, but everyone is talking about the impact to this young man individually. How about the three teams that have all been impacted by this transfer. First United loses its best player which I’m sure impacted other kids coming out. Then, he was practicing with Ligonier taking reps away from returning kids and I’m sure causing hard feelings in the locker room. And now he’s headed to Kiski Prep where he may supplant a player who has run the offense all offseason and the beginning of this season. A lot of other players are being shuffled around so that this young man can find the best place to play football. And let’s be honest, the original move was 100% about football. If it wasn’t he would’ve accepted the governing bodies’ rulings and prepared for basketball.
