Harris should have been Bedford County basketball mvp
I think AI's original response to coach may have been the funniest thing i've ever read. He blasted you big time.

Fiction even though bareboot is the biggest ball hog in the county and doesnt know how to pass the ball. He did take ridge to the playoffs and harris won like 5 to 7 game not really sure but it wasnt that many.

MVP=Most Valuable Player Where does it say about team on that name. Yes Wins are a part of the process but not the whole process. The best player should get the award regardless of team unless they don't win any games or just like 2 games. Especially in this case due to competion. I would bet money that Bedford played in the SHL this season they would have beat Ridge and won more games and it would have been a no brainer. So you would say Johnstown couldn't have an MVP in Cambria County when they played in the WPIAL because they didn't win many games and Northern Cambria had a player score 25 and Johnstown player scored 24.5, but the NC player won MVP because he won more games???

IF AJ would have had those same PPG that he did and NB went 0-25...and there was someone that scored 25 PPG on a team that went 22-3. I'd probably give the MVP to the guy on the team that won. I I I I I I I I I I is not the equation either. Winning and being a VALUABLE asset to a very good team is.

You can't help what team you play for and in this case tougher league turns into more loses if they don't have a good team. Let Bedford play in the SHL and former Bedford County league then it would be a true MVP like it was in the past. I know many winners of the award and would like to say they all were deserving.

Example...
Pat Snyder and Joe Nastasi
This fits the mold perfectly. Joe was a MAJOR scorer over his entire career. Top 10 in state history. Pat scored a bunch as well, but didn't have the same numbers....MVP? Snyder because he was part of a WINNER.

I guess the County Coaches and sports writers had a definition for MVP this past fall as they are the ones who voted for the MVP and obvioulsy they thought or majority thought Barefoot fit the definition of the word MVP. Well since I cant read and I am contradicting I wont post on this matter anymore. I still think Head Roadie and others had best definition of MVP in early posts on this matter. They know a little basketball and have coached a little in there time so maybe they have a good definition of this thing. AGain only my opinion.

So what if Bedford didn't play in the SHL...are you saying they would have won it??? Bedford was in the BCL until 2-3 years ago and the last outright title they had was in about 1982 (approx...give or take a year)....that's about 20 years without an outright title. There were certainly better Bedford teams than this years in those last 20 years. And they lost to Everett in the Tip-Off tourney this year?? Based on arguments here (and I could kick myself, said I wouldn't get back into this one) why didn't Harris win the MVP of the Tip-Off Tournament since he's the player everyone would have picked first??? I didn't see any arguments on here about that. Miller won and it was unanimous because although Harris had a trememdous individual effort Miller didn't have the stats but was the definite catalyst behind Everett winning the tournament.
