Science kicks a field goal
Re: Science kicks a field goal
Are we going to question every wrinkle in the developing human fetus and assign a reason for it? Look, there are 2 theories about evolution that are real boners. 1) When Charles Darwin said, "Hey. Most animals look alike. They must all have a common ancestor". And 2) That the developing human fetus passes through all the stages of the evolutionary cycle from the time of inception until it is a fully formed baby. Both of these are a crock!

Yet these are more improbable then an extra-dimensional being? What were the odds of God always existing? I would find that slightly hard to calculate. Why don't you go ask that world famous statistician. Your arguement of, "It is this way because the I believe it to be so," is no better then that of evolution.

But nobody is forcing creationism on anyone. That's the problem. It's the evolutionist who wants HIS theory taught in our schools as fact. So no matter who has the better odds, why should one be taught in schools exclusively? My world famous statistician has already given the improbable odds of evolution happening. Should I repeat it. How do you calculate odds that God created man? You can't. Unless you are one of those people who MAKE UP 85% of the statistics on the spot!!

No one is forcing creationism on anyone? Wow. Just... Wow. I can't even begin to think on where to start on that. I mean... Wow.
Dude, that was a joke if you recall. I said so afterwards since you took me seriously. Yet again, Wow.
Also, what is more probable then? What are the statistical odds God actually exists? At least there is a rational probability for evolution.

Not doubting El Moldo, however.....When, after conception, does GOD occasionally flip the switch that converts a female into a male? WE are ALL made that way, and something switches the DNA in some cases to develop into a male fetus. I also would like an explanation on the evolution of "down under's" duck-billed platypus, the crazy, mixed up creature that can't decide if it's mammal, or what. God was just fooling with that one, right? And if he can do it with an animal like that, that must be the explanation for some individuals, like Michael Jackson, PeeWee Herman, Hillary Clinton, etc.

Evolution is being forced or our schools everywhere. Where do you see the same thing about creationism, UNLESS it is for equal time vs evolution? Why mention ONE alone in the classroom?

Guess you are predestined to be a male or female because of the xx or xy combination of the sex gene. (Can I say sex on this site?)

Re: Science kicks a field goal
You just did say sex, so I guess you can say it...
The reason evolution is generally being taught in schools is because there is a lot of proof for it. There is a lot more proof for evolution than there is for creationism. What do we have for creationism? A book that people claim to have been written by God is the 'proof.' For evolution, we have millions of years of fossil records, embryotic development, genetic proof, and bodily designs and functions. Now here's the kicker: Which one sounds more credible and more 'factual?' I think evolution does.
As far as creationism not being forced on anybody, I guess that's why their trying to teach it in schools as another theory under the guise of just a theory, when it's really a religious teaching with very little to back it up. Hmmmm......

I think bodily designs and functions are MORE supportive of Creationism. Look in the mirror. Did you happen by chance? Just read a medical journal once. All those delicate hormonal influences, all those intricate chemical balances, all those dynamic relationships between different body parts happened by chance? You know, if the potassium level in your bloodstream varies just a teeny bit you could die. I guess these levels just happened to perfection by chance? You guys have to think a little about some things... Where is the genetic proof for evolution? That the whole human race was based on some kind of MUTATION a million years ago?... What's embryonic development have to do with evolution? Each species developes in it's own fashion regardless of what happens in other species... Fossil records are a joke. After all these years, STILL NO transitional fossils have been found. And there would have been many of them if species kept changing into other species... Teaching evolution as fact is a joke too. It can't even satisfy the minimum requirements of the Scientific Method.... Again who is forcing creationism down anyones throat? As I said, it is usually only brought up in schools to counteract evolution being taught as fact. It's an equal time thing.

Re: Science kicks a field goal
What is the parocial school stance on evolution? Do they believe in Adam and Eve being the 1st humans? And that humanity started with them?
