Good point gunner. Gut-check time for Ridge this week. ham55 Bellwood is a very good "A" school. Always have been.

Well i was not able to make it to tonights game, but from what i hear it sounds like a poorly refed game...... Of course a few bad calls should not be the determining factor with a team with the potential that ours has..... I guess it just goes to show u how good of a "A" team bellwood has.... I definetly underestimated bellwood coming into this game, I figured the win they had against PO was a fluke considering the loss of a couple of their starters...... congrats to bellwood on their win tonight..... I hope to watch our team battle back from this loss and take the talent they have to the playoffs.......

I hope so for NB sake. If Ridge come's out with "bad intentions" it could be a long night for the Panthers.

there is no way that ridge will let NBC spoil their senior night!

I saw my first ICC game of the year last night when I went to Bellwood and here are my thoughts on the game and Ridge as a team.

1) Good call on the punt into the endzone!! That is the rule.
2)The grounding call was borderline.
3)Don't blame the refs. CR did not do what was needed to be done to win the game.
As far as the rest of the game went Ridge was in control for 3 1/2 quarters should have won but didn't take control in the fourth when they had the chance. I was not overly impressed with this Bellwood team. But they hung in there. I was impressed with Barefoot. He thows a nice ball and can move around a little. The line also is pretty good. Halbig is a shifty back but better run harder and be more physical if Ridge wants to go anywhere at all in the playoffs. I think CR beats NBC by 20 next week and wins season finale vs. MV. After that they better hope for a good draw in the playoffs (Purchase Line), because I still think they have big trouble against the top 3 or 4, BD, FH, BM, Tyrone.

Yea Southpaw but still A. According to BOSSHOG they should drop the football program for losing to a tough A team, even if they finish 2nd in the State. Not being able to finish out a game, sounds like the bug that another area team finally ridded themselves of this year. Count, no problem, but the punt going into the endzone in the NFL is not blown dead as soon as it crosses, but the kicking team can not throw it back out to the one to pin the team back, the recieving team can however run and pick it up if they so desire. It will be interesting to see how Ridge stacks up next week and can prepare on a week with a 1 in the loss column. Good luck Ridge, better be ready to step up again next week, because it doesnt get any easier from here on out.

BTW, was the yelling a result a team crumbling when the pressure was finally put on?

To be honest ham I was in the Ridge stands last night and it was terrible!! I felt bad for the players because there fans crumbled under the pressure. CR was up 14-7 with BA driving and I started hearing things like, "here we go again, we're going to lose." "that's what happens when you finally play a good team". I actually heard alot more comments that I could'nt believe. The fans within earshot of me had NO confidence in there boys. Before anyone gets mad. I said the fans within earshot of ME.

Bellwood is a better program and has better coaches!! That equals WINS! Ridge always seems to choke in big games for whatever reason?
