I don't think the Straiser kid is quick enough yet to be considering D1. I would view him more along the lines of developing into a TE probably for a PSAC school. He reminds me a lot of the Zellem boy that just graduated from NS last year and went to CAL PA even though I've heard he isn't playing ball anymore. Straiser would have to hit the weights and speed training hard over the next 3 years to change my opinion.

I saw him play and found it ridiculous that everytime North Star ran the reverese pass using him as the receiver he took his gloves off and tipped it.

When all of you are talking about Sayler and Sinosky you are looking over the most important part of both of them. Compare their offensive lines for a minute. Sinosky probably had the biggest holes to run through that i've ever seen. You say Sayler goes down on first contact? I've seen Sinosky run into the endzone without being touched numerous times. When you can score without being touched that's all line not running back. I'm not saying sinosky isn't a good player. He's a great player but i think if he runs behind Berlin's line he never reaches 4000 yards rushing. I just don't think he would be as dominating without his line. I think if you throw Sayler behind the portage line that we would have just as much success as sinosky if not more. His speed would be overpowering with that line in front of him. Throw sinosky behind Berlin's line and i dont think he puts up the numbers he has.

i have played against both running backs as well, without a doubt in my mind sinosky is the better back. he is one of the strongest backs ive ever played against. saylor is fast but goes down very easily. this is a no brainer that sinosky is a better player.

sprinter I agree with you completely, its hard to compare sinosky with any other RB in westpac because he had such a great OL. If you put saylor behind portage's OL i think he would do better than sinosky.

Another thing that gets me is when everyone calls Sayler a system player? Thats called good coaching and gameplan when you can put together a pretty good offense with a mediocre line. Coach Paul is obviously doing his job if his team can put up the numbers on the ground that they do when only averaging 180 lbs. on the line. No other running back in the west-pac could run the offense that Sayler does and he doesn't get any credit for the job does do when he runs it.
