Home Freaking Run
Re: Home Freaking Run
I thought as the year went along Richie Anderson played better and better. He looks like the slot receiver. I would say that Anderson and Lewis will be the starters. With the TE depth, they should be fine but it would be really nice if they could have another receiver step up.

I really like the Hamilton kid he's one that could be a surprise

Yes, let's label a young man delusional, because he has confidence that his team will win a Big Ten title and National Championship. Even better let's label him delusional because he is going to become a Dr. one day. What a shame this young man has goal, dreams, and aspirations.

The problem with Pitt fans is they have a hard time seeing things objectively. I am not guaranteeing Penn State will play in a Rose Bowl and I am not guaranteeing Penn State will play in a National Title game. That said, if you don't think they can compete on that level while paying top dollar for a coach who recruits his @$$ off, a passionate alumni, and top notch facilities, and a stadium that fills 107k. then you are delusional. Every one of those leads to winning recruiting battles. Kids want to play for passionate coaches, fanbases, and at top notch facilities. You recruit at a top 10 level you will compete on a national stage. Penn State has all those things. What has held them back is a senile 85 year old man who should have retired in the 90's. We haven't seen what a Penn State program can do without an 85 year old coach who has his son and Galen Hall sharing play calling duties.

It was announced this week that the 4 Vanderbilt players accused of raping a female student in a dorm room this past summer, WILL stand trial in mid-August. If so, unless some kind of plea bargain is reached before then, James Franklin will have to testify in court. Mid-august? Isn't that when fall camp is taking place? Maybe they can take his deposition from Ireland?

That was announced in mid October of 2013. It's only January Moldy. You don't need to be grasping for straws, yet. You have 7 months.
Re: Home Freaking Run
Just read it for the first time in an article dated Jan 21st. Really hope PSU vetted this guy properly. Also, supposedly the Nashville DA had cleared Franklin of any impropriety. Funny though, that was when Franklin was coaching IN Nashville. Now that he's left, who knows WHAT can be brought up again. I'm sure there are NO hard feelings about Franklin leaving.
Re: Home Freaking Run
I see where Nashville DA Victor (Torrey) Johnson graduated from Vanderbilt Law School. I'm sure that he would not hold anything against James Franklin for bailing out on his alma mater, and taking most of his staff and some of his recruits with him to Happy Valley. When is that rape trial again?
